After getting an A* in biology A-level from your videos, I came back to this channel just to refresh my knowledge since im planning on studying medicine next year ;)
Hey, is this all you need to know for the cerebrum? because in the textbook (kerboodle) the cerebrum is about a page long. Also, thank you for your amazing videos!! I aced my AS exams because of your amazingly explained videos. :)
Hiya!! I have my exams in around 2 weeks (based on module 5 and module 6), and I'm currently working through the PMT topic papers and going through your videos/ the textbook to memorise content as I don't have a lot of time left what would you recommend I do after I finish the PMT questions to get an A/A*. Thank you so much for ur videos!!
Sounds like you're doing a fine job already! :) The PMT topic exam questions are great for testing application skills. You can use kuizical.com for retrieval practice to test if you've memorised the key facts. It may be a bit late now, but you can buy the Oxford Revise books to help structure your revision (knowledge, retrieval, practice). Other bits you could do is to ensure you're confident with the maths, analysis and evaluation questions. I've made three maths in Biology videos so check them out if you haven't already. If you run out of things to revise (which rarely would be the case!) And would like to challenge yourself, then make a mindmap to see if you can make as many links between topics as possible. This is to help you prepare for synoptic questions which are common in exams. Hope this helps! :)
@@BioRach Thank you so much, I will definitely do some more maths/ statistics practice!! Hmm I was wondering after I finish the PMT questions if it’s worth doing the older papers from 2009-2015?
@@elizana1416 You can but do note that they will be questions on the older spec - while they provide good exam practice, they tend to be slightly more straightforward and less challenging than the current exam questions. There may also be exam questions in your textbook (we use the Oxford one which does) so might be worth checking them too.
@@heyoletsgo5728 I checked the spec x neuronal communication is 5.1.3 and Plants and Animal responses is 5.1.5 the spec for the brain specifically is 5.1.5H
