Thanks very much for your great explanations! Much appreciated. I already knew a lot but still can learn some stuff from your presentations. Would be great to make a part with failures and abnormal procedures as well for one of the next parts ;-)
@@hectopascal Hi Pascal. Great. One of the point i am still not sure how to manage for example is how we have to udpate the NAV-position of the aircraft in case of lost of GPS-signal by tuning a radio-beacon and updating the position by flying over it (at which time excatly do we have to press update etc.). Thanks again for your great contribution.
1:05:51 Can you explain how to fill the other entries on the INIT B page like RTE RSV/% and how they relate to what's on the OFP? Thanks! Great video again.
Nice Video thank you! One little question : How long do you plan your flights in real live. I mean you have a dispatcher but you are briefing the stuff with your colleague right? How long does it take and how detailed are you in this preflight briefings? Lg from Berlin
Thanks! I am glad you enjoyed the video :) how long it takes really depends on the day and flight. If for example there is a lot of Weather, Special ops, difficult or new airport, NOTAMS, etc it can take 30 min. But usually it does not take more then 10 minutes. As FO’s we usually go to the briefing room 15-30min early to take a look at the stuff by ourselves to be well prepared and to be able to present it to our Captain.
@@hectopascal very interesting thank you! Now I can improve my flightplanning at home a bit 😂. I know its late in the evening, but one last question. Are you going through every airway and waypoint or is this not important and you are doing a quick look on the route? Thank you and have a nice evening. Looking forward to the next Episode
@@jf3052 no problem, you are welcome! We don´t go through every airway and waypoint as theres simply no point in doing that. The most interesting part is always the weather which is of course also closely related to the route :)
