Okay that auto-pan feature is pretty slick.

6 months on, I feel the initial negativity on this camera including initially from myself, was all wrong. The camera is fantastic, I did get one. 4k 120fps with only 10% crop! Or 4k 60 no crop. The extra stabilisation can be very handy (works best on Vlogging self filming shots or walking directly forward when it can look gimbal like). Astonishing low light ability. Even the tracking thing is a great feature I’ve used when making RU-vid videos doing my barbecue. Love this camera. Team it with one of the tiny primes you can get now, and it is even pocketable, in a coat or cargo short pocket. They periodically drop the price in the UK I got mine for about 2100 I think.

Hey Lok. When you guy always talk about how a camera body crops for some reason or another (like the stabilisation you’re talking about here) you could mention the original resolution you had and what the new (cropped) resolution is?

Personally I think the head tracking feature is similar to a lot of webcams so maybe it’s for streamers. I can imagine some of my clients using this for online presentations as well.

I think it's funny how so many people seem to be amazed by that audio tracking feature... something Panasonic did three years ago.

Sure it's small but certainly not the smallest. Sony NEX-3n was by far the smallest APS-C mirrorless camera I have ever own. I really miss it.

I think S5ii price is 2199 EUR ! Not 2500 EUR. Just FYI.

Why would I want to use a camera that uses bulky, heavy, and expensive full frame glass for a camera primarily held with one hand? One of the perfect use cases of crop sensors would be vlogging cameras for most people. We've got to the point where performance almost requires a studio lab to spot the differences unless you're under really crappy lighting or something. OM-systems might actually turn some profit if the the EP-7 had all the things people want for a vlogging camera ports wise while still being small, relatively cheap, and built fairly well (plastic doesn't not equate to poor quality if the right plastic is used). I'd much rather carry an e-p7 in one hand than one of these, an S5(ii), etc. Then again, at the end of the day you really have to have cinecam 8k quality for a youtube or social media clip to reprocess and be viewed on a ~6 inch screen by most people. Audio is worth a lot more for these online videos (won't argue against having a larger crop window with higher resolutions, that's why the Leica Q2 is actually usable in most situations).

I love you both. You are both so amazingly fun. You can say vlog but the letter V pronounced on its own sounds like WEE. I know it's a stupid thing to highlight and our world is amazing and the Brits touched so many lands but as an American, who knows so little about proper English grammar, and less about pronouncing English words properly, I get so confused. Ok, I'm done!

lok, I’m really sorry, but this kind of camera from Sony, It really don’t hold any intrastate me in any way. Sony is not best known for making professional still photography cameras and there Professional Video cameras have been falling behind over the past 5 years with there design. FujiFilm X-Pro are as far as I see on the top of the game. The only thing I like from Sony is the hand grip design. The new Sony cameras are just made out of cheaper materials and are not really made for pro photographers.

No viewfinder? Rubbish!

This camera is an expensive toy no one needs. Microhdmi, one card slot, overheatingy, small battery, no evf, no real 4k with the 40% active stab crop… , missing dials, dumbed down to the max the cinematic color profile missing, no raw…this camera looks like a super fail to me
