i love how aabria first takes her time hyping up emily and brennan as asked, before transitioning seamlessly into complimenting the rest of the season's cast as well. she proves again and again how much she cares about those she's working with, with such a captivating enthusiasm! everything and everyone i've seen thus far continues to be as fantastic as i could have hoped

I have to say Lou and Emily are the comedy duo I did not know I needed, but the two of them play off of each other SO WELL, they are slaying me this season! I definitely think people sleep on Lou and miss how good he is in the singular and how well he plays off of other people.

I just finished misfits and magic, my first season of d20. I went into it for Brennan, but came away just loving Lou. He's so excellent.

The thing with Lou is that he has character chemistry with everyone. Some combinations of players/characters just for whatever reason don't click, don't have much to say to each other if you put them in a scene with each other. But you can put any Lou character into a situation where they interact with any other person, and it's gonna be a good time.

Lou’s understanding of comedy and improv is so natural. It’s something beyond “oh he is super in character” it always feels more like “Lou *IS* this character… *ALL THE TIME*

I think people sleep on Lou because he is such a great roleplayer, meaning that he stays in character and doesn't go for jokes/approaches that his character wouldn't go for.

The entire cast for Fey & Flowers are just GODTEIR delightful. Really cool to see more of a specific side of Lou as Squawk! Just absolutely in his element! feels like this campaign was tailor made for this cast/they rose to the challenge so impressively in all waysssss

I'm not the biggest fan of the fey world so when the trailer came out I was skeptical, then I paused and thought to myself "Aabria is the DM and the cast is amazing, it has to be really good" and it IS ! Everyone is so good at their character and Aabria is such a good DM, it's incredible. Love them all.

This is weird, but I knew I was sleeping on Lou as it was happening. Fantasy High was my first time watching D20 and he melded into Fabian so well that it triggered something in my brain. Like, logically I *knew* Lou wasn't a spoiled little rich boy but I hadn't seen enough of his work to know where Lou started and where Fabian ended. And don't get me wrong, I love Fabian as a character! But his flaws, while perfect for a teen character, would be annoying on a grown man

I didn't realize I was until I had the thought of "Oh I would love to see Brennan on Crit Role" (before Calamity happened) and then stopped to consider who else I would want to see on Crit Role ASAP. My mind immediately thought Lou, which confused me cuz I assumed I would think Emily (I love her to pieces). I set it aside until Calamity occurred, and saw the line up and then tried to not freak out too badly because I realized in my heart of hearts that Lou was gonna CRUSH IT. And he did 😁

It's all fun and games until (oh god I'm tearing up just typing this as I'm remembering it hold on) Until Fabian Aramais Seacaster DRIVES HIS SWORD INTO HIS FATHER'S HEART, JUMPS OFF AS THE BALCONY EXPLODES BEHIND HIM, lands PERFECTLY on his motorbike, and rides off into the distance TO KILL A RED DRAGON. Oh 100%, you watch Fantasy High and you see Fabian and go "yeah this guy is funny as hell, and actually kind of clutch in the dramatic moments, but yeah funny character" and you don't think much of it beyond that. Then you see Fabian go through his spiral in Sophomore Year and you think "wow, that was actually well done and nuanced." And you see Kingston Brown and Amethar Rocks and realize "oh this man knows what he's doing." And you see Gunnie and Squack and Pinocchio and Nydas and realize that Lou Wilson is a talent and a national treasure and he has the RANGE. He has the range.

@@juliawhitmore3991 This absolutely! I’m new to the fandom so I’ve only gotten through two full campaigns and watching clips from others to figure out which one to watch in full next. Like yes, I want to watch them all, but trying to figure out where to go now I’ve started, what I’m in the mood for, is the challenge- and honestly I feel like Lou’s range is one of the highlights of D20. He absolutely melds into his roles- but the roles he chooses are *all over the map* and I love him for that. Like this isn’t a criticism but just an example- Zac playing Ricky after playing Gorgug? Ok, yeah, that tracks- if this we’re a different type of media I would be tempted to say oh no they’re type casting him but he’s good at it so… As opposed to Lou with Fabian and then Kingston where yeah, no, the actor is the only thing these characters have in common. (Zac gets this in ACoC where I look at Lapin and I’m like… what have you done with my sweet little half orc. Completely unrecognizable and I *love it*, but that’s off topic.)

So far the season is all around amazing, but IMO, the MVP is Omar and how he does the extra work of intentionally doing bad decisions because it's what his character would do.
