Thank you so much for this, Sierra! I'm about to see a student who has had a stroke and extremely limited movement except for head & eyes. We may try a high-tech system too, but those do not work for everyone as you know.
I am bit confused with 4 cornered repeatedly same different patterned colored repeatedly. To make it easier to put numbers by colors. Example: Yellow would be #1 and rest of yellow boxes would #1 in 4 corners and same with other boxes with different numbers.
Hi, Can you please do a video or atleast for now write down how to swallow saliva properly. I am struggling badly but unable to figure out the proper way to gather and swallow saliva. I do fine with solid and liquid foods though. It would be very useful if you told the step by step points to gather and swallow saliva the proper way.
Watch my newest video on using an effortful swallow, that may help. Problems with saliva management can be for many different reasons. It might be having too much saliva, or reflux that makes you cough throughout the day, thinking you are coughing on saliva. Good luck!
