With all the evidence about Lauren not knowing that the victim was his father, and that the police monitored her house and confirmed that he didn't try to contact his family, it really seemed that the third kidnapper point was going to come up later.

If you consider what each Cross-Examination Theme represents then I think that gives the reason for why Presto is only present in Miles' games. Moderato is generally slower moving and represents the uncertainty of the truth, it's always played when a character is of low interest and Phoenix/Miles are trying to find the facts of the situation. Allegro is typically played when someone of interest is being cross-examined, it includes when Phoenix thinks he's found an important witness or in some cases the true culprit and is usually associated with the larger lies and contradictions presented often unveiling the truth that was obscured. Presto meanwhile often appears when a target is attempting to flee, it's when Miles has his sights on his target and is closing in on the truth, unlike in the courtroom the culprits in AAI could realistically attempt to escape in their circumstances most evidently with Turnabout Ablaze when Alba attempts to escape multiple times. Funnily enough the only case where Presto doesn't appear in is Turnabout Airlines and its culprit, Cammy Lee had nowhere really to run. I think as such for Phoenix a Presto theme wouldn't make much sense. Given that the Cross-Examination theme names are pretty set in stone I don't think they'll ever be changed but if I were to go with a more apt set of names for Phoenix's ones perhaps; Piano, Diminuendo, Mezzo, Crescendo, Forte & Fortissimo would work. Mezzo - The standard theme, for more neutral things like witnesses and establishing the basis of the crime Piano - For the Defendant when it's made evident that they're not really the criminal or more specifically when Phoenix is confident that they're not the criminal Diminuendo - When the truth at the time is layered in a contradiction obscuring the true culprit and as such the contradiction has to be resolved to bring the truth back into focus Crescendo - Non-critical Witness testimonies where there is a heated argument in the court, would be focused more so around a witness who lies to cover up a truth Forte - Critical Witness testimonies, ones that would lead to the case being flipped on its head or being the culmination of a number of cross-examinations up to that point, also used when Phoenix believes he's found the culprit (could even be used when Phoenix misguidedly thinks he's found the target) Fortissimo - When the culprit has become evident and becomes the battle to get the truth out of them or to assert their guilt without question

The fact that the only thing miles need to draw out information with just his logic and mind is actually impressive where phoenix and apollo needs special trinkets in order for them to access new info and yes this a comment from nearly 8 years ago

@@insertname206 You could say the same about the magatama and perceive. It lets Phoenix and Apollo know if someone is lying but they have to deduce the truth and back it up with evidence.

Both largo and adagio are slower (and based on the standards that Ace Atttorney has held itself to, less intense) than the other two versions of this song, moderato and allegro.
