I have huge respect for Ravi Ashwin as a bowler and huge respect for his cricket analysis. Only question is in the current T20 context if I have to pick one selection which was worst in this squad is Ashwin's selection. With his cricket acumen he should have understood he is now a mis-fit holistically for T20 cricket. He is still amongst the 2 best offspinners in red ball cricket now

@@majesticnow7652 Better players? Anyone who score runs fast and consistently in T20i is a better player. Pant should only be playing tests and ODI. KL Rahul as well. They have no place in T20Is. Better players in T20i here are some Prithvi Shaw Ishan Kishan Devdutt Padikal Sanju Samson And there are few more who will be much better players in T20Is.

Template was changed but loss of early wickets put a brake on that template. Vs Pakistan: 160 Vs Netherlands: 179 Vs South Africa: 133 Vs Bangladesh: 185 Vs Zimbabwe: 186 Batting apart from that match against South Africa did ok in the league matches In the sf against England, we got to 168 but our bowlers underperformed in the match because of lack of swing.

If you see 2 semis and finals 1st batting team could not score well in first 10 overs and bowling did not took wickets. The debate is diverting in a wrong direction. This is not a template which is an issue. The issue is selecting wrong set of players, if they would have selected the right team, template would have taken care of itself. Being honest, KL, Ashwin, Bhuvi, DK (in Australian condition) and to some extent Rohit does not fit in the T20I team. They did not show faith in exciting young talents such as Ishaan Kishan, Prithvi shaw, Sanju Samson, Pant (by not giving him regular chances at the top),Bishnoi, Siraj, etc. The almost same team that lost in 2021 played this World Cup. Those who don't learn from the history are condemned to repeat it.

@@mayankbhardwaj550 It's not about just giving chances but giving confidence that if he fails he would still play the next match. Team management never gave that kind of chance to him. He always had the sword hanging over his head especially after DK was brought back in the T20 setup. He lost confidence by constantly moving in and out of the playing squad or playing as an opener or in the middle. That's not giving chances. That's giving chances to break someone’s confidence. He is a proven match winner and selectors should have given him the whole world cup to prove himself. They missed the opportunity as he played well in the Australian conditions before.

My csk xi ( as of now) 1. Ruturaj Gaikwad 2. Devon conway 3. Moeen ali 4. Ravindra jadeja 5. MS Dhoni 6. Shivam dube 7. Dwaine pretorius/Sam curran( if we get sam currant then sam currant will be priority ofcourse) 8. Deepak chahar 9. Maheesh theekshana 10. Mukesh chaudhary 11. Simranjeet singh 8 bowling options , batting depth is good .. if there is need of leg spinner we can drop theekshana and play prashant solanki and that will open 4th overseas slot as well and can play baby malinga ( if any of the 3 indian bowlers go out of form) Will not play rayudu ...not a good decision to even retain him IMO...ik MSD is sharp mind but i see no logic behind this....taking rayudu in 11 will also destroy the balance of side as well Give ur views in comments

Dhoni should never ever get around this set-up. His approach of taking game to deep is so injected in our system is running down our cricket. Dhoni's usp was his instincts and decision making in crucial times and that can only be achieved in the ground not in the dressing room.

I think it will be tough for india win icc tournament without shikhar dhawan. He got injured in 2019wc and after that kl is our permanent opener and rest is history. Shikhar can easily play with 140 strike rate in t20 with constancy. But now I request to bcci include him in next odi wc. Our right handed opener batsman and left arm bowler they can’t play in swinger if there’s left handed this problem solve will be automatically

India's issues since WC 2019 is that we always had unsettled teams and no roles defined. Last year we had 2-3 captains, 20-22 players rotation but no one was told what to do. Even for 2022 WC, Rohit was totally out of form in IPL so we needed a fast scorer with him. But we took Rahul who was coming back from long gap. We didnt have wicket takers for PP and middle overs. We selected defensive bowling. I knew DK will flop in finisher cos he always plays crap in International matches.

BCCI itna paisa latha hai, best infrastructure de raha hai, Free surgeries, NCA training, Domestic players ko Foreign tours leke jatha hai, Rahul Dravid ko Coach banaya hai, Trainer hai, physio hai. Isse zyaada kya kar saktha hai board. Selectors, Players , coach itna salary lete hain aur hagthe rehthe hain. I feel sorry for BCCI board.

@@Kripesh.Y DK 2 years se moo fadke yahi bol raha tha ki uski poori tayyari 6-12 ball khelne ki hai. Isiliye use RCB mein yahi role mila. Aur Internaltional mein bhi use isiliye khilaya. Tho isme uski hi failure hai kisi aur ki nahi. BCCI aur ROhit ne usse bohot backing diya but poora flop tha wo.
