I was a big fan of Aayliah (and still am) even though I wasn't born when she had passed away. My mom was one as well. My mom had got me two shirts of Aayliah for my birthday. Now I wear it every chance I get. Fly High Baby Girl / Aaliyah. 💖💗 🕊
i'm so sad she passed. i'm only twelve at the moment but her voice carried a long way which truly inspires me . her birthday is the day right before mine . rest in peace 🤍.
@@hkmamacmd428 Her music videos were always on youtube but they were uploaded by fans and not the label. The videos had millions of views until the label took them down this year
@@xcviii3392 Some of them. Some had to either be low quality or under different names to avoid copyright infringement. After some songs were approved for release for commercial use/bought off, they became more accessible. But until maybe a couple of years ago, it was very hard to find
I was named after her, but spelled differently: Aaliah. My mom was a big fan of her. I used to be embarrassed of my name, but now I am proud to be named after such an amazing women. Sad she died so young, but she will be remebered. I love you, Aaliyah 💔
My name is Aaliyah and I wasn't really named after her my God mom (who named me) loved the name though so yah I like her music now that I'm older though lol
There were two girls at my school with the name “Aaliyah”- it was probably coincidental since the name was popular unless both of their parents were fans of this singer lol
I wish Aaliyah was still alive to see her impact to this day. Bless to see the younger Gen Z being introduced to her music. Her legacy will forever live on in her music.
OG's remember this girl she was beautiful and her music never failed and Rest In Peace Aaliyah you will never be forgotten and everybody let's get TiktokTunes to 5Million subscribers bro and then to 6Million subscribers bro
My aunt always listens to Aailyah’s music, and she’s started to get me listening to her old songs.. I only found out what happened to her the other week when I was with my aunt.. I wish she was still here so people of my age could appreciate her music.. Fly high, Aaliyah.. 🤍🤍🪽🪽
I remember this song back then, my mom would take me to school and then this song would start playing on the radio. hearing this song takes me back in time
TikTok has blown song up. But I Rember when I was 10 my mum playing this. My mum cried when Aaliyah died. Now I understand why. Such a beautiful soul with such a Beautiful voice ❤️❤️
I love this song I’m jealous of you 90s kids! 2000s was cool but the 90s and 80s looked so cool from what I’ve seen and also why dose it sound like a happy baby in the background of the song
I'm glad I was named after my mom's favorite music artist because her music is really good and fire🔥, RIP Aaliyah it's really nice having the same name as you🌹 ❤

Glad the Tik Tok Generation discovered Aaliyah, she's a legend. Her song "John Blaze" Has a similar beat to this, and is just as hot! I recommend checking it
Aaliyah baby girl ❤️❤️sending love from 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪r.I.p the best 90s rnb artist in fact ever. They did you dirty girl you should still be here. Nearly 2023 and still listening. Timeless ❤❤❤
well her uncle and estate gatekept all the music and refused to release it to streaming platforms. Similar to what happened with Taylor Swift but can't fight w/ dead artist
When I was 3 My mom used to play this song while getting ready for things. I sat there and watched her for hours admiring her saying "I want to be like her." So I sat and played with my hair and dressed up in her clothes (dresses) It was fun knowing how proud she was of me. She helped me with my makeup and had to get gum out of my hair thanks to my older brother 🤣 People say I look just like her now.
Man,i fkn MISS these good ol' days,N THE MUSIC we had 90's kids back then..❤RIP BABYGIRL😢❤kids now WILL NEVER..SO SAD..WTF HAPPENED 2 GR8 MUSIC??..??😢❤
I was just a young kid when I listened to this song but I vividly remember it and will never forget it, such a banger this song always brings back memories
Tous les deux ont fait un travail fou sur cette chanson, Aaliyah a vraiment tué et R.I.P. Les gens ont vraiment besoin d'apprécier ce combo incroyable!
You have no clue how long ive been looking for this song , I remeber hearing it as a kid , didn't remember the name of the song , didnt remember who sang it , didn't remember the chorus , all I remembered was it had baby noises
Late one night after a show in 1998, Timbaland received a phone call. On the other end was Barry Hankerson, Aaliyah’s manager and uncle, asking Tim to produce the lead single for the Dr. Doolittle soundtrack. The deal was already “etched in stone,” and Tim would get $400,000 to do it. There was just one catch: He had to have the master of the track to the label at 8 AM. It was 4 AM, and he had nothing. Tim, his songwriting partner Static Major, and Aaliyah came together and took shelter in The Village Studio in West LA. It wouldn’t be enough to put just any song together - they expected a chart-topping radio hit. They had four hours. As he tells it in a brief clip posted on RU-vid, Tim made short work of the beat and, soon after, Static found the hook. Then, Tim had an idea: He flipped through his CDs, found the one he wanted and played it for everyone. It was a baby cooing happily, lilting up like the softest arc extending from the gentlest slingshot, lasting no more than half a second in the air before falling back down to earth. Its melodic curve mirrored a glissando on a violin, from a note high on the staff to a harmonic far above the fingerboard. Aaliyah thought the baby coo was cute and, with that, it was slotted snugly inside one of the empty spaces in Tim’s beat, becoming instantly iconic. By 8 AM, the track was mastered; according to Timbaland, later that morning “Are You That Somebody?” and this baby coo were already being played on the radio.
My mom used to blast this song in the car along with Beyoncé (black moms 😂) a little sad peoples using it for trends but I’m glad their getting reconized.
after reading some of the comments I've realized tik tok brought some of the younger ones here while I just searched for it cuz it's been my forever jam 😅
my sisters and the radio would play this song all the time. i never genuinely got to listen to it because i was young. such a great song i’m glad i was able to find it again
