It was the good pitch control throughout all the choreography for me. There will never be another her and it's not fair she's no longer here...but Legend's music and memory never die.
Yess!! I’m surprised some ppl say she can’t sing live when actually she does great In her performances! especially for her age and her doing choreography as well… but legends will always have haters
@@mirfangu It does! Mariah really liked her too. She said her song Babydoll was inspired by Aaliyah! She worked with Missy Elliott on it. If you listen to it, you can hear the influences and style. Mariah always gave respect to true artists.
I really do miss her!! She’s absolutely gorgeous!!!! She was one of a kind & had everything going for her! I still cry, because she’s not here!!! She had hits, after hits after hits and it’s still poppin in 2024! RIP GORGEOUS AALIYAH
We all could have said that music will never be the same cause of our loved ones music wont ever be the same without Aaliyah,Lefteye,Selena,Tupac,Biggie,And Eazy e.
jordan cox YES although others took it in a, different direction it was something truly special about these particular artist that was Unique and we have this quench if thirst for their style in music I'm telling y'all it's, changed and not up to our liking
I still love the fact that so many people got out their seats and were like "Oh hell yeah Aaliyah --- my girl!" She was truly loved during her waking time on earth before she was called back home to Dear Heavenly Father Above. Miss her innovative style and futuristic beats made courtesy by my main man Timbaland and my baby Missy Elliott
I'm just curious. How do you know she went to heaven? 🤦 Y'all REALLY don't read the Bible. Alot of folks ALWAYS talk about heaven but while they live on Earth, they could careless about serving and worshipping JESUS CHRIST.
@@JC-tx3gh she went to heaven cause she was a Christian babes…. And don’t even try to say Rnb music is a sin cause that means you listen to what white people be saying and how they view our culture.
Considering she was what 16? 17? Her voice registry hadn't fully matured and not to mention she always danced when performing. Let's not act like your faves started out AMAZING. Love the quality 😍
Karen Bates Really? No disrespect to Aaliyah, I love her RIP But listen to Beyoncé singing when she was young, maybe she oversang a lot, but only because she was able to ! Aaliyah is a great musician, but not a good vocalist...
look at the audience it’s nice to see they’re living in the moment, without these phones / technology we have nowadays to record 🙄 ugh what a time to be alive it was
Im 40. We went to the music stores to actually listen to and buy their music. It was a whole experience. Aaliyah always been my girl she started and finished solo. I bought her first album on cassette tape when I was 15 lol.Never been a Beyoncé fan. Monica and Mya underrated too. Love them too.
I never knew of Aaliyah because I mostly grew up with Selena but I completely see why the world is missing this girl. She had some PRESENCE about her omg.
@@nthuthukomdluli1052 yes i am. i grew up with her mainstream songs (basically the whole amor prohibido album), was introduced to her with the movie. the past year i’ve discovered more of selena’s music, now i listen to all of her albums, including her 80s songs. i was never introduced to aaliyah. a lot of selena fans are also into aaliyah as well which is how i got into her recently.
***** Hanging out with Beyonce and Jay Z. Judging a dance show. Or even investing a business or opening a performing arts school for the youth or a girls' school.
Baby girl was the flyest and most swagged out female artist. Period. She sounds amazing too! This is why I don't listen to people who say she couldn't sing.
@@barrycunningham9360 I agree Barry. I think because a lot sheep see her as legend. But if you close your eyes and look away NO ONE would say this sounds legendary. FACTS!
VEVO knows they gotta find someway to add more AALIYAH content since blackground/Atlantic isn't allowing her music videos to be put up. This is clear af!
+SuperstarOnTheHorizons Vevo can't upload personal music videos from artists, only the copyrights owner can. Blackground/Reservois can't upload the rest from Aaliyah untill the court case against Craze Productions ends.
+Elmo Reaves from my understandment Craze failed to show any proof about their copyrights, which granded Reservoir side, but there is also a problem with damaged valuation and that is yet still to be decided by judge (hope what I wrote is understandable, English is not my primary language)
Aaliyah was such a beautiful singer & actress in every way & to this day April 2023 I cry thinking about what Aaliyah's life would be like if she was still here and making the billboard top 10 best music ofcorse because she is AALIYAH ❤️🥲❤️ the world misses you & your beautiful voice more than I could ever express in words! ✨🙏🕊️
As a HUGEEEEEEE AALIYAH fan, i really wish she had a chance for her live vocals to mature to their maximum capabilities. Vocal wise, i wished her lives sounded more like her album.... but!!! Her energy, interaction, and performace and dancing was always dope❤❤❤
I disagree with people saying she couldn't sing. Lower notes would get away from her but her falsetto was amazing. A falsetto is difficult to do especially for women. And her lower range got better the older she got. Sadly we will never hear what her voice sounds like fully matured.
Janet Jackson had a soft vocal sound, as well, but her producers had great beats, sounds and lyrics to make her sound good in her vocals range. Ms. Jackson was a excellent dancer, like Aaliyah, both commanded their🤔 audience to watch and listen at the same time. Aaliyah vocals and moves was ahead of her time, and fashion style MATTERS💃🏾 PEOPLE PEACE&LOVE
See I couldn't be in the front I would be screaming my behind off and cry and lord tryna go up there with her. Lmao idk how they're so close and not freaking out. I would've been escorted out😂
Her hair was iconic. 20 years later and I would use her pictures as hair inspiration. Also, her sunglasses were always so cute. I wonder what brand made the ones in this video.
There has never been, will never be, an artist as POISED,CLASSY, HIGHLY INTELLECTUAL AND EDUCATED AS WELL AS STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT!!!! MISS YOU AALIYAH......YOU HAVE INSPIRED MANY AND YOUR SWAG WILL LIVE ON ETERNALLY QUEEN!!!RIP😇🙏❤🧡💛💚💙💜
This woman is the true MVP when it comes to stage performances...like look at the aura and the chill vibes throughout the video...she made it seem so effortless and easy..gosh! I would love to see this style make a comeback so bad...but too bad no one will ever be able to replace this true queen...we need to keep these videos alive...I swear I'm going to play these for my kids in the future and say that's what pure awesomeness looks like ❤..love you baby girl...you'll never ever be forgotten
She is the definition of “one of a kind”, “dime a dozen”, “diamond in the rough”, “gem among the stones”... I think you can catch my drift she was beyond special and is truly missed. RIP Angel 👼🏽 you’re the true Queen 👸🏽
She has the crowd GROOVIN!! The Apollo crowd was hard to win over, especially for women who performed there so for her to have that reaction from both males and females is a testimony of her star power and relevance. Rest easy Queen Aaliyah 🕊
Go 'head, big sis! I used to be so obsessed with Aaliyah. That first album will always be my favorite. I know it word for word. I feel like she got better and better vocally with each album. I like how she never did too much and always retained a pleasant pretty voice. Gone way too soon. I'll always be a fan. #ripbabygirl #anditsstillallgood
