Thank you Jon for showing a human side of Aaron, a talent gone WAY too soon. I am heavy hearted...If only he was able to get the help that he needed. He will be missed so much. Edited to note: what I keep finding myself thinking of when it comes to Aaron is how it feels like I am grieving for his potential. He had so much talent if he could have only found himself and now he can no longer grow and continue to express that. I hate how we keep loosing these talented musicians and most importantly young people/kids to addiction and mental illness or senseless violence. We will never know what they could have been. So crazy and sad to me.

Jon I apologize for misspelling ur name. It’s really pissing me off that so many people disparage such a kind talented human being…. We saw all this coming since he first came out in 1997. The way they worked him. The shit they had him on to continue it… Just so sad. Blame doesn’t rest with him in the end. The world including his own family wasn’t good to him and that NEEDS to be told ferociously.

@@suzannetaylor6285 the sad thing is he was a decent person at the beginning..I've Been a fan from the beginning as a kid. Drugs changed him to be a narcissist and just brag and lie all the time. So that's how some will remember him as a jerk which is unfortunate.
@fazetwo
@fazetwo Год назад
@@suzannetaylor6285 It amazes me that people can summarily judge Aaron Carter as "not a good person"---based on what? On the things he said and did when he was at the low points in his life? WHO would like to be judged the SAME way? How is this fair at all? Granted, he didn't present a wonderful picture of himself while on live streams and on social media, but, tell me: if ANYONE were live-streamed almost 24/7 and tweeted constantly without a filter every single day, WHO would come out smelling like roses? (Hint: NO ONE--not you, not me.) Aaron was reacting to trolls, and being defensive. He wasn't "crazy" or "being a lunatic"-- he was trying to defend himself, for better or worse. He didn't try to hide or pretend or put on a nice facade. Other musicians have mighty PR teams that craft their image, and they don't live-stream their lives---if they all did, we would probably think Aaron was an angel compared to them. I mean, he was self-aware and transparent---too much so: that's what tormented him and came back to bite him, and also what turned some people away (what's that saying about "too much honesty"?). He had to deal with a lot of trauma and tragedy, and became addicted to some substances to cope, but people say: "He is ultimately to blame: he did this to himself!". Really? Blaming the addict is too simplistic. Addiction is complex, and in the case of Aaron, many factors come into play, in addition to the strong biological pull of the addiction. Aaron definitely shares some of the blame, but definitely not ALL the blame. Dear God: People should be more understanding, and try to see his downfall as combination of various unhelpful or even harmful people and situations. Having watched practically all the interviews he did over the years, and even the livestreams that people say "proves" he was a bad person, I actually have the *opposite* impression: I am struck by what a basically GOOD (though flawed) person he was. He was intelligent, talented, and extremely hardworking, always passionate about continually improving himself and learning new skills. He was traumatized by many people and past events, and struggled hard to pull himself up continually. He was intensely aware of his own shortcomings (he admitted to huffing compressed air and smoking weed, but he worked hard to stay away from all *other* substances), and he continually accepted rehab (up to 5 times) and people's attempts to help him, which is why I'm PUZZLED that people keep accusing him of "not listening to people who wanted to help him". No, no, no. That's not it. On social media and streams, he got angry and upset about people JUDGING him and BERATING him to "get help"---why? Because he already DID accept help, and DID go to rehab many times, and at the very end, he was having regular outpatient treatment---so, not residing in a rehab center, but accepting help as an outpatient (he reportedly missed his last appointment, probably because that was the day he passed away). So why do ignorant people keep saying that he "refused help", and "didn't want to listen and has only himself to blame"? People say he is a "narcissist". Well, if that's the worst thing ANY celebrity could be accused of...they've done well indeed. What people don't understand is that he felt that he HAD TO self-promote-*who else* was going to promote him? The music industry had turned its back on him! He had to brag and self-promote and exaggerate his good qualities and achievements because he felt (correctly) that the mainstream media were deliberately ignoring or blacklisting him. I listened to all his bragging (and his own admission (in one interview) to being narcissistic--yes! He was aware of what he was doing!) and what I really heard was: "Hey! People are putting me down, but here's me fighting back! I'm going to tell you what I'm proud of, because I have self-respect!". So, I didn't react negatively to his bragging all. I saw him as someone who was a fighter, someone who wanted people to sit up and notice what he felt they were ignoring. Ultimately, many influential people continued to ignore him, including his own family members that he so wanted love and acceptance from. All that distressed him to the very end. So, this tortured soul probably messed up on substances to drown out the pain (past and present trauma) and all the noise (generated by haters), but he was trying hard to fix things in his life---not giving up at all. He wasn't perfect---but who is? I just mourn the loss of a beautiful and talented soul, who was endlessly tormented by horrible people and events (some were in the past, but some were very much in the present). He has now left behind a musical legacy that he really has reason to be proud of. His "Love" album and the unofficially released "Blacklisted" album provide abundant proof that he had the guts and talent to go at it independently. I appreciate the many hauntingly beautiful, catchy, and creative songs (lyrically and musically genius!) he's gifted to us. So contemporary, so "now", and so "Aaron"! He was too good for this world, and he will be much missed.

I have been having a really hard time struggling with his passing. When I found out it felt like a close friend passed. We are around the same age and I grew up watching him and listening to his music. He was my first crush growing up. This is the content Aaron should have been sharing. I honestly feel had he not been dropped by Sony, his mental state would have possibly been in a better place. Only because his L.O.V.E. album was a big success for him. That album was 🔥🔥...his best material imo. As soon as he was dropped, he no longer had the machine label behind him. He soon began to struggle in all aspects of his life (personal relationships, addiction, career, etc). Some ppl can't handle not being in a place of success that they were once in. This dude struggled with his identity big time. The face tats was the first alarming red flag. Him nodding out on his ig and high as a kite. All of this resulted in him falling into a BLACK hole that he was never able to find his way out of. An intervention was desperately needed were he SHOULD have even been admitted. I do feel that ppl around him failed him. Too many ENABLERS. At 34, he still needed a big brother/mentor for guidance. He felt the pressure of always needing to prove who he was along with his accomplishments since he was dropped from Sony. His L.O.V.E. is what should be considered his LAST album. Not that Blacklisted shit that was leaked. His passing is unfortunate.

Aaron used to be professional, nice, down to earth and talented. I can’t believe what he turned into. It’s like this is a completely different person. So sad…..I hope he’s at peace.

I hope people can learn a lesson from the way the public ridiculed and didn't even give aaron a chance when he was older, treating him like a joke. We're all just people trying to live life. Be kind to others because the public definately had a hand in the reason he used.

His face always looked different in this too me. At first I thought it was the makeup but I dunno.
