Man, the writers are giving me whiplash - seems like after all the happy times they really want to screw with the characters :-( And I also now hope they keep Aaron single because I don't trust them to write any decent kind of romance or love story line for Aaron. And as always a huge huge THANKS for all the work in uploading this!!! I live in Germany so other than here I could not follow what happens - even through it is a bit rocky right now from a character consistency POV ;-)
Hi Bea. You wrote your comment 2 years ago, so not sure that you'll get this. But what you said is exactly what I've been feeling. I guess it's the producers/ directors who have screw this up. There was absolutely no need to invent this cock-eyed story-line. All it's done is cause heartache and pain for the fans of Aaron and Robert. It was so beautiful at times, but they just couldn't leave it alone, they had to continually introduce discourse and dis-harmony when all we wanted is for the love story to develop without heartbreak. Why did they feel compelled to destroy this love story ... I've seen this in other Soaps (Den and Callum is an example) where the scriptwriters/ producers want to show us how smart they are and how life and love is full of disappointment and relationships can't last ... we all have enough of that in our own lives ... we don't need it rammed down our throats. @@chloeh8332 but if was andy they would do anything for him, but robert always been treated as less than when his the biological son, i never got why andy was the favourite or liked in the village, or why they put up with his behaviour and robert only one who saw andy not as perfect. considering andy beat up his wife, killed his mum, shot his dad, cheated, slept with underage girls, but robert is just seen as a petty idiot for having a problem with andy, plus the fact andy basically pushed his way into the Sugden family through Robert and Andy then replaced him in his own family, killed his mum, shot his dad, yet andy acts like robert takes everything from him (could never stand andy and the poor andy narrative and bad robert)
Lee's mum is already out of proportion irrational. Robert's in prison for life. Enough with her. Gosh! I can't believe Aaron thinks what he thinks about Robert after EVERTHING he did for Aaron. I mean, just like that you take off the rings? You know how long it took for Robert to take his ring off back then, Aaron? What does that tell you, love? Rob's grown more as a caring and selfless husband and Aaron has always had his endless insecurities and doubts. NOT FAIR. Not a single Dingle family member is being fair to Robert and don't get me started on Vic or Diane. UGH!
SELFLESS?! Aaron lost him in the first place because of his selfishness. Everything Robert did to Lee was to make himself feel better, not to help Vic. Both Aaron and Vic tried to make him see sense, but he couldn't even understand what he was doing wrong and how he was making it all about himself. But even despite that Aaron stayed with him and supported him all the way, something Robert should have done with Victoria. And yes, Aaron has his insecurities, but how is he not being fair to Robert? Even now he's just trying to make sense of the situation and fight for his husband, he is ready to be there for him, he was ready to give up his whole life for him without second thought, ffs! And the same with Aaron's family, they all see how much Robert loves Aaron and because of that they have forgiven him so much of his past, all the horrible things he did to them. They all also supported Robert throughout this whole thing, they were ready to let Aaron go and help the two of them go on the run, how is all of that unfair? And yes, it's good of Robert to finally accept the consequences, but again - it's his selfishness that got him into all this mess in the first place.
@@lastochka140 People seem forget the things Robert did to Aaron and people he cares for, It took a lot for him to forgive him and when he does his begins to get bored and turns his attention to Rebecca by enjoying her attention and flirting, kissing her, holding her hand, being her friend even after she tried to humiliate Aaron and ruin their relationship, like because his beginning to get bored and his eyes wonder just like when he got Katie and Chrissie. it was completely inappropriate and insensitive her being an ex and knowing she still got a thing for him and Aaron insecurities, plus had Robert ever actually said sorry for the things he said and did to Aaron? then he slept with Rebecca at the first time of trouble and feeling sorry for himself when Aaron was going through hell in prison and on drugs, not only he sleeps with her but does it Aaron house and bed the house that was suppose to be there's after marrying him not mention the awful things he says and she ends up pregnant. Also Aaron ending in prison was down to Robert inappropriateness with Rebecca and him being insecure down to Robert past treatment of him and because he never actually chose Aaron over Chrissie/HF/money etc, I do feel sorry for Robert, he was always treated as inferior by his own family in favour of Andy. The kid who pushed his way into Robert family and then pushed Robert out, Robert been selfish and greedy since a teen.
He reached out to Chas to speak about Aaron i know she did but he saw her as family and a mother figure Coz she was for a period of time but now she couldn't care less about him
I obviously want to see how Aaron handles Robert leaving but I don’t know whether I should just give up now before the writers try to ruin Robert’s character and twist his actions even more.
Totally agree with you, Olivia. I stopped watching when I realised they were going to destroy one of the best relationships/ love stories I've ever had the pleasure to watch. We don't need all this heartache ... better not to watch because it's gong to be really distressing for sure. Cheers, Terry
