Huge STP fan you guys won my heart on that one... Tribute to unplugged u nailed it and love Yas for doing God bless Scott.. STP and Eddie Van Halen... Great job!
I don't usually like to hear anyone but Scott sing an STP song, but Aaron's effortless talent always amazes me. What a voice! I just wish his drunk audiences would be quiet for a minute so we could really listen.
honestly, he needs to do a cover album with higher quality versions of these, because he does them so well but id prefer to listen without the screeching
Its amazing how Aaron can change his voice most of his covers sound close to the original singer. You never even hear his real voice in his covers only when he does his own songs and with Staind. Great vocalist
nice cover, Aaron Lewis is a great talent, between him and Brent Smith of Shinedown, we have two of the greatest rock singers of our time, in their prime.
I still feel the same way, there's no need to discuss about someone making to many covers, they make them for a reason and Aaron is talented, he has his own pasion; from him to others.
i couldn't wait to see staind and they did not dissapoint. they were heavier live and the show kicked ass. i like them even more now. i passed on the chance to see arron lewis when he was doing the acoustic shows, i will not make the same mistake twice.
You are probably well aware, but just in case you're not,. There are a bunch of great videos of Chris Cornell joining Vedder on stage during the PJ20 tour and playing Hunger Strike. That song just like this one completely changes me the second I hear the first chord. If you haven't seen those videos, check them out!!! If you have, you can never watch a great artist perform enough!
i'll see aron october 10th and i seen the covers acoustic show. he went out on a limb with that tour and had fun it was kick ass.until the staind and creed tour arrvies i'll jam right here
This is what I posted on Aaron's cover for Black from lastad's account : "Well sometimes artists that cover songs give their own twist, because it may not sound like the original, and they may not copy it like it is, but they give a little of their own showing how they admire or apreciate or just feel about the song and artists."
There's nothing wrong with him doing covers. I don't see people nagging at cover bands. It's so rare to see a cover band do even remotely close to as good as aaron does. Embrace it. Enjoy it. Talent.
This is a great cover of STP. And now that Scott Weiland's voice is shot from all the drugs, it's nice that someone can do the song and give it a great vocal pitch.
ok dude i love this mans voice n all but no one will ever compare to layne staley lol layne is a god to music n brought so much to what music is today n if he hadnt died he would have brought much more... i am a huge AIC fan n i can say that Aaron has an amazing voice n yes is n a catogory with layne but is not better n never will be better live layne had the best live voice any musician has ever had dont belive me look up alice in chains unplugged n listen to how powerful his voice is...
mmm... band, guitar, whatever, him and that voice can show up anytime and sing anything to me... don't even care much if he sings 'rainbow connection' or gets paid to sing me the latest advertising jingles... long as he shows up with that voice and sings to me... yeah, that'll do lol
@motillaman4life ......thank you for the comment...I'm tired of the disc jockey shit talk too..maybe they'll look in the mirror and realize that the only thing they can do is make up for their insecurities..
HAHA dude im sorry but no one is layne staley layne can not be replaced! i mean Aaron does amazing covers of AIC the best ive ever heard but layen is layne and not many are better than him live because of all the passion he had for music and the emotion he had put into his music and lyrics
You're exactly right, I don't know Staind. I own every album, but I don't know Staind. I've got their MTV Unplugged DVD which is nearly impossible to find, but I don't know Staind. Just because I glanced at the guy in the video and mistook him for someone else, I don't know Staind. Ya caught me I'm a fraud. I pretend to be a huge fan of bands just for attention. Busted. Jack off. I said he wasn't a great guitarist. You just can't judge that from this video where he hardly plays guitar.
