I absolutely love how all the most liked comments are from people who have served in the US military. Their voices are not heard as much as it should be and they're the ones willing to sacrifice EVERYTHING for their country. It's sickening the media tries to paint a different picture of our heroes. As a Canadian I see anyone who serves in the American military as a hero.

Aaron, I served 24 years. I fought in five tours in two different wars. I have felt alone now in my own country. After giving her all the years my body had to move without pain. Been rocking this song daily for about a week since I found it. Every time, I'm on the verge of tears. I took my oath to serve and defend the US constitution back in 08. I love my country and honestly glad it was Aaron who was the one to finally say this. I've been a fan since Break The Cycle. His music literally saved my life a couple times when life got real heavy. Staind was my first real exposure to music that I actually related to. I can still remember going down to my local Walmart to pick up a CD. Didn't know exactly what I was looking for back then, hadn't ever heard of the band, didn't listen to the radio. Aaron Lewis is directly responsible for my love of music. That one CD gave my life more validation than I had ever had prior. I didn't even know how to really express my emotions until I had really listened to his music. To say he touched my life would be a sincere understatement. For once, I had a male role model. Now for it all to come back to this, it's just too fucking poetic, man. And here he is, still able to speak straight to my soul and say the words I couldn't. To think I'm just one of the many he has touched, I know for fact that I'm not the only one.

@@jimmorrisy7881 I feel exactly the same way about Bruce. My wife and I had VIP seats to see him at Shea Stadium. After the first couple of songs he started talking politics. I screamed as loud as I could telling him to go fk himself. The Cops around us starting getting nervous and so I apologized to them for my outburst, but they said not to worry about it, wink, wink. I don't know if Bruce heard me, but the guys on the stage near where we were sure heard me. Then we left. Never went to another show or bought another record.
