Wholly James Hetfield?, AL is awesome but Layne Staley Chris Cornell Robert Plant etc r otherworldly. That said, Love some AFL! This is brilliant! Hearing him sing Alice In Chains Pearl Jam Tool etc u can hear the influence but man he does his own thing n it’s intense in the best way!
Cornell is the best rock singer of my time. Aaron is great but his shining moments are in his lyric writing. He somehow manages to take a heart and soul and put it on paper

I can think of 20 songs that'd be amazing with piano accompaniment but Home, Fade, A Little Something....& maybe Believe In Me, come to mind first. Chris Volz of Flaw did a piano version of Only The Strong Survive and it's really great! Aaron would murder it with a piano and guitar!

It's extraordinarily rude and disrespectful. Especially after you bought a ticket to the concert, which is essentially telling the artist that you will come and watch their performance, not interfere by screaming or acting like a drunk fool. Save that for an appropriate time. It's devistatingly frustrating to the artist. I've been lucky enough to see several band's acoustic sets, 3 Days Grace, Cold, 5FDP, Incubus, Linkin Park and Staind, as well as Aaron showing a few people a new song in their dressing room or warm up space and you can immediately tell when the singer/band is holding back just EXPLODING on these pricks. There's even a video of Aaron walking off stage bcuz he threw the microphone away and unplugged his guitar and was going to play a true acoustic song for them and they wouldn't be quiet after a few minutes of waiting, Aaron said "I'm done. have a good night." Maybe you've seen the clip? It sucked for the fans who were quiet and dyin for the others to be quiet too, but I dont blame Aaron for a second for walking off. He even warned them an waited patiently. It's like spitting in his face when he's trying to do something unique and special for the crowd.
I've seen Aaron solo and Staind literally 100s of times. This is one of my favorite Staind songs. I remember him when he first started playing this acoustic and that was chilling but this piano version is INCREDIBLE!! Everyone's right btw it's really too bad people get loaded and ruin it for the others
I’ve been following staind/Lewis for almost 20 years. I’ve seen them and him countless times. And this is the best he’s ever sounded. I think he’s able to focus more on his voice because he’s not playing the guitar.

I'm watching this about a year after I found it and, something vexes me. Does the mood and emotion Aaron and Eli?are putting out really call for rowdy yelling and whooping? I know they love him. I do too. It just puzzles me how they're unable to get on the same wavelength. Drinking? I imagine he is too. Lastly I wonder if Aaron ever thought because of his audience, they don't vibe with me, am I really getting through?
This audience can't even shut up when he tries to do something special. No wonder that he wants back to Staind. This is a hard insult for an artist. Even if you like your audience.
