I’ve seen Aaron do an acoustic show at Billy Bobs Texas. The worlds largest honky tonk. He did some of his Staind songs and ive never seen that place dead quiet. It’s 40 acres. You could’ve heard a pen drop. His voice had people in awe. Nobody in music today has a better voice than Aaron Lewis.

Yeah, He's not even attempting to sound like Layne whatsoever. It's not something that most singers aim for when they do a cover, emulation is one thing in music, but to bring something of your own to it is the real goal
