Week one superstar injuries happen a lot in the NFL. Brady went down in 08, Bledsoe before him (-ish, I think he was week 2), Peyton's last season on the Colts.
As a packer fan I remember watching that game & I was excited to see Rodgers ball out and have a great season, hopefully the jets get him a better O-line & Rodgers cab stay healthy
Same here. I still wanted to see him succeed and have a good run with the old guard. Then to see him go down that fast with a season-ending injury was heart breaking. Here's to a Jets v. Packers Superbowl in 2025! 🍻
Who cares about AR. Not a fortune teller, but I predict he will get injured in the first game, and Trevor Siemian will be our QB. With a lifetime record of 44 TDs and 32 interceptions, I would not place any money on The Jets.
I’ve done my Achilles 3 times and have done surgery and non surgical and lastly with surgery plus peptides. Peptides definitely increased the recovery time in the initial stages to assist you in getting to the rehab stage quicker but it will still take a year to get to a stage to play professional sports and able to withstand the demands that come at that level.
Respect the knowledge of Aaron Rodgers (learning always happening). Love to listen and always having open mind about his talks . First started listening to him was with Pat , and got a bit bum out couple weeks ago that he had to part ways. Fan of tuesdays with Aaron Rodgers!! And Fan of Joe !!! Who isnt ?
I’ve been a chiefs fan my whole life but I love rodgers like he was our QB. He’s just a class act when it’s needed and he says what he believes and I love it. I hope he has another MVP type season next year
I tore my Achilles last year and was in an air cast for 6 weeks, physical therapy for another 6 weeks, so my journey to full recovery was pretty much the same as Aaron's but instead of bone broth and a hyperbolic chamber I went with cigars and scotch. BTW, I'm 70 and was just signed to the Jets practice squad.
That one still hurts. it looked like everything was falling into place and then literally 4 plays all the excitement and expectations were gone in a second. Hopefully he can come back and finish on his own terms
I still wish you were at home in Green Bay but you did a great job mentoringJordan Love and have left us in amazing hands, hope to see you next year at the Super Bowl.
I totally ruptured my right achilles when I was 33....It took me about 2 years to get back into sports. I know I wasn't a pro ....but I wasn't too shabby. Trust in your healing and physical ability has alot to do with it.
yup i'm a year into healing from mine, except i ruptured my achilles and my posterior tendon on my right foot. I still limp pretty badly and get sore from standing too long, i dont believe it'll ever be the same.
@@inbredhorses Whats pathetic is that you sit in your mom's basement with nothing better to do than attemp to judge and insult people that dont know you exist. You need some love in your life, I hope you can find happiness one day.
I REALLY enjoyed him crumbling like a crouton from a very ordinary hit, being a failed mentor to his horrible backup, and then when he got really bored and started doing more interviews, seeing all the clips that revealed just how delusional and self-absorbed the self-proclaimed "critical-thinker" really is.
I am glad Rogers did not come back this season. It seems to me that recovery time for a tendon or ligament tear is minimum one year, optimum is probably at least 1.5years
@@freecycle53215exactly. Look at cam ackers. He came back so quick from the injury and he was never the same. Ended up tearing his other achilles smh.
Yeah based off the old healing methods but with all the new ways he was going about it, could have been possible for a full recovery tendon in half year I guess we'll never know now lol
Inspirational!! I'm 68 and in the third year of my paleo journey, low carb diet and exercise. Year to year, stronger, improved metabolic blood work. I'm soooo lucky to find MY ⛲ of youth. 💪🙏
@@xWheeler50x Oh shit. I just looked it up thank goodness. I remember Joe talking on his podcast about getting the comment section onto Spotify for his podcast.
Achilles tear sucks. Had it myself (but I'm not a pro athlete) so it was 3 months of sitting on my butt followed by two months of learning to walk again
Im 37 and i partially tore mine in march of last year and kept playing bball on it and then started PT from July to January and just started playing again. All my stuff took about 6 1/2 months all-in. That’s wild he was basically ready to go. Everyone’s body is different. Hope Rodgers has a great 2024 season 🏈
A complete tear takes a good year to get back. There really is no way to speed up the recovery. Sure, you can start walking again after a few months but to compete at the highest level in professional sports is obviously different.
When I was 12 I broke my collarbone, kept playing on the playground till recess was over. Took me 8 months to recover. We are all different, wishing Rodger’s the best
@@rettoc2599 agreed but I hear now it’s 9 months. I’m a former D1 and brief overseas hooper in England and even after a partial tear my burst and explosiveness is pretty much all gone. Really Sucks 😐
@@DavidBagga 9 months is probably doable with all the new science and tech. I had a complete tear. It was a devastating injury. You do lose the explosiveness for sure and you are never able to rebuild that calf muscle 100%. There is a weird type of void there. It’s hard to explain unless you go through it. But with that being said, you can still come back and play competitively again. Rodgers will definitely have a few good seasons left in him once he returns espically as a mainly pocket type QB
I am no professional athlete, but I did play sports at a very competitive level. I fully tore my achilles at the age of 26. Absolute prime age. Talk about a bad time in my lifetime because of the unsureness of playing again. Just the worst time to tear it. By FAR, the worst injury I’ve ever experienced. Broke bones, tore ACL, MCL, shoulder injuries, etc. But that Achilles injury is easily the absolute worst injury of em all. The worst part of it was the physical therapy part. Talk about extreme pain and sweating. Stretching the tendon to break scar tissue was the most painful. Just thinking about makes me sweat. Gosh that sucked so much😬😬😣😖😫😩
I ruptured mine late october 2023. Worst paint I've ever felt but went away almost entirely within a week after. Had Surgury not until the day before Thanksgiving. 3 days of oain meds every 6 hours but stopped cometely after that. Zero pain. Followed doctors orders to a T and now almost walking normally.
I'm terrified of tearing mine. Direct male relatives have torn theirs. One time multiples same leg. Never had a lower body injury, but to lose cardio/sports may kill me. You'd story gives a little hope
I did something to mine a couple years ago. Now if I'm on my feet all day it aches and is really tender to touch. Do alot of long hard miles cycling tho and that doesn't seem to irritate it. Feels like it could rupture sometimes tho. I dread the day .
You’re not supposed to wait that long when you rupture a tendon. The tendon can deteriorate. I tore mine in April and had surgery within a week and a half. The surgery felt like I got bit by a shark. I didn’t sleep for 2 days after surgery. Tore it in April and played summer baseball in August.
I'm a Cowboys DIE HARD from the 70's, so Aaron has been a curse to my team, but otherwise I am a HUGE Aaron Rogers fan, I think he may be the best pure quarterback to even have played the game... I'd take him today over Prescott all day, any day, even at 40... LOVE THAT GUY!!! God Bless you Mr. Rogers!!!
This year would of been a great opportunity to win it all too, there are no super teams this year, 49ers should be but they are not playing well currently
As a physical therapist I can attest that getting a single leg heel raise is really difficult. Will be interesting to use this to give examples to my own patients. If an elite athlete with all the resources has trouble, most people will
@@CrookedJoeBiden I did hear that. Glad it's coming back to other platforms as well. I still do feel like they've stepped it up with the guests for a while though.
I tore mine 1.5 years ago and I'm going to start playing sports again. The amount of different types of rehab access these pro players have is astounding. Insurance companies for normal guys like myself don't care if you can't be your old self again. They stop denying coverage pretty soon after 2-3 months.
