Aditya Hridayam
Aayana is a community, a family, of dancers. We went from constantly performing and rehearsing together to being stuck away from each other, not able to do what we do best: come together, create, practice, perform and enjoy dance as the brilliant social instrument that it is.
But we're not going to sit and accept this as our new reality. This video is a beginning of maybe a new dynamic of coming together, communal art in a virtual age. The beginning of a series of excuses to dance together, in whatever degree or form.
The Aditya Hridayam Stotram is very special to us. We try to sing it every morning, and it fills us with positivity, just like the Sun fills our world with the light of possibilities. Almost all these videos were shot outdoors, maybe a subtle testament to our spirits, that can never be locked up.
May Soorya deva always shine his kind light upon us.
