Faith is always absolute.
In the first half, the piece follows the stories of Kausalya, Ahalya and Shabari. Three women who look into the horizon, hoping for a glimpse of the blue-skinned Prince. They wait for Him. Time passes, they wait for Him. Ages pass, they wait for Him. Memories pass in and out of existence, they wait for Him.
In the second half, we are part of Sita's story, and here too we see her wait. She waits for Him to come and take her hand in marriage with barely concealed anticipation. She waits for Him to return from the forest, despairing with worry for her Love. She waits for Him to come and release her from the green, verdant prisons of the Ashoka Vana.
She waits for Him.
