Abadabukileyo, worldmusic-choir of the Saint-Gertrude College Wetteren, Flanders, Belgium. Abadabukileyo was founded on the 13th of November 1997 by conductor Reinout Bracke. Twice a week he guides a group of young people through a musical journey all around the world. Tuesdays and Thursday afternoons, from 12.45h till 13.10h these pupils sing out their belief in a better world, a world where solidarity and respect still have meaning. These young people dare to dream that we can do better, through their journey they also learn to enjoy the beautiful things our world has to offer today. Dazzeling rhythms and a rainbow of sounds, without discriminating anyone.
Abadabukileyo, wereldmuziekkoor van het Sint-Gertrudiscollege Wetteren, Vlaanderen, België. Abadabukileyo werd opgericht in de schoot van het college op 13 oktober 1997 door Reinout Bracke, leraar Latijn met passie voor zingen. Tweemaal per week neemt hij leerlingen mee op een muzikale reis doorheen alle werelddelen. Dinsdag- en donderdagmiddag van 12.40u tot 13.10u zingen deze leerlingen hun geloof uit in een betere wereld, waar solidariteit en respect geen ijdele woorden zijn. Wervelende ritmes en een regenboog aan klanken, met er omheen een niet te stuiten enthousiasme, dat zijn de ingrediënten van elk concert.
