Compared to other abandoned hospitals we've visited this place was in relatively good condition. it closed in October 2015 and has been left empty ever since although we did see signs that the buildings were being prepared for demolition.
We took only photographs and video footage and caused no damage. Thanks to derelictCHEESEBURGER for coming along check out his channel here / @derelictcheeseburger

Seeing this brings back latent childhood memories, weird how familiar some of the building is when I've not been for 17 years.

In 1966, I was taken there as a very ill newborn, at the time doctors said i wouldn't last the night but, If it wasn't for doctors & and nurses, I wouldn't be here now posting this comment.

Watching this video didn't scare me but give me memories from 2014 and years before when I went in there I knew and still know the place so well! Probably could have gave you a tour.

This was a brilliant hospital always remember when my son was in there they treated him very well with the other children but now they have opened the other hospital that should be fantastic take care you guys stay safe xx

I’m sobbing I miss that hospital so much my sisters life was saved there and it was so much more welcoming Than the new alder hey I also miss the big corridor by WHSmith with all the pictures my favourite was always the tiger x

This hospital saved my life because I was 3 and a half and I drank a bottle of calpol so it is kinda sad that this hospital is abandoned

It’s crazy because when I was growing up I was back and forward’s coming to this place when it was 2012-13 cause I had a hole in my heart even tho some of the surgery went wrong they saved me and I was in intensive care and it’s sad knowing that I was in that place all the time and I thank the people that saved me ❤

*very interesting thank u* iam a nurse and this hospital had a bad past. They used a thing called Liverpool care pathway there. U can Google it

The Liverpool care pathway was not a problem, it was people not fully understanding it and using it correctly that was the problem.

This isn’t actually abandoned it is being knocked down and 4 people have already been arrested for going in but I know the pins to all of the doors😉

I was treated very well in that hospital when I was born without them in the year 2000 I wouldn't be here today so don't you ever go in there again because that's my second home I mean it

We didn’t see any sign of one, although some of the site was sealed as it is attached to some of a working hospital still (was when filmed)

It’s PICU>HDU>WARD :) where’s the OR’s? (Operating Rooms) so sad to think many children would have passed in this hospital 😢😭 God Bless 🙏❤️ lol I think you boys are lost/trapped.. you’ve been through purple a few times and brown too haha
