I live right down the street from this place. My Neighbor told me that Sinking Spring and for that matter Reading and greater Berks County used to be quite the place. What happened ?
Well, it was a major textile manufacturing center, the Reading Railroad was one of the largest in the nation... I'm sure there was more. Like many other once prosperous cities like Detroit, the loss/offshoring of manufacturing began the downward spiral.
