According to ILLUSTRATED HISTORY OF FORD by George H. Dammann from Crestline Publishing Co. : "1934 This exquisite Town Car is a Brewster, a simi-production luxury car turned out in limited numbers by Springfield Mfg. Co. of Mass. The car used all Ford running gear and some Ford body parts. The heart-shaped grill was its trademark. "
Nice stock Ford flathead. Looks to be mechanical brakes under front fender. 17" wheel were 1934-1935. I believe Forney Museum in Denver has one of these cars.
First car is a Model A. Those spare tire mounts are known as "Side mounts" The Continental mounts are on the back, and came out on Lincolns around the middle to late 30s. That is where the Continental name came from. The second car, with the custom radiator shell and Limo coachwork is a Lincoln, about 1932 or later. It has a flathead Ford V8. The 59AB casting number on the head means something as to age, but I'm not enough of an old Ford guy to know!
I see others have beaten me to the identity of the Limo. It's a Ford limo with a Brewster body. One of these in real bad shape, missing a lot of parts, went for $40K in 2017
lincoln town car with the big V8...Brewster built for wealthy client...Edsel ford might have had a stake in these cars...He wanted to get away from his bossy father and run his own show...and be his own boss...pitty his life was cut short from illness...he was very modern and not stuck in the past like Henry...
"First wash in 30 years". Cool Brewster, but the only thing that got washed was our brains. If you want subscribers, don't play the clickbait game. And with this Brewster, you wouldn't have even had to in the first place....
It's a Brewster... good Lord... do you guys know anything about old cars at all? And you guys don't even recognize a Flathead Ford V8???? How do you even have a channel about cars?
