Not everyone only likes meat-head muscle cars, and some of us can write a proper sentence.

If some people didn't keep the old cars from being crushed back in the day when they weren't worth very much they wouldn't be here now to help people restore their cars today! Yes many of those cars would be restored today if they were complete but we can hope that those missing parts are now living on cars across the great U.S.A!!!!!

At some point these were abandoned as viable cars by others. A guy who "stockpiles" them is actually saving and recycling them in the end. Junkyards and wrecking yards were the first to "go green" lol..... keeping other cars going since the 1920s. After all the good parts are gone they go to the shredder. It's obvious there have been a lot of parts dispersed, and a lot more to be sold. I'm sure there's been plenty of whole cars sold out of there as well to restore. But there's plenty of "do gooders" that just see a pile of junk, we all know that too. If nobody saves them, nobody else can get anything from them.

It's known as a junkyard. Old cars that wear out go there to be parted out and recycled. A successful junkyard can have hundreds of cars, and many of them specialize in certain makes. They serve a valuable function in providing parts for people who are keeping other examples in good condition. I've known all this since I was very young.
