Abandoned Boys Home with a haunting past 

Thats an AMAZING property, must be worth tens if not hundreds of millions of $$ if sold for development. Considering its age, it has on the whole structurally stood the test of time very well. The Art Deco architecture here is brilliant that doesn't look as dated as some buildings from the same era. I read the history about this place and it initially opened in 1925 and ceased as a Boys Home in 1975. Then run by Anglicare to assist disadvantaged children and families in helping to put their shattered lives back together. Various school camps were held there during the 1980's, Knox School purchased it in the early 2000's and then in 2006 it was sold to private developers for subdivision but the buildings cannot be removed as they are protected by a Heritage Overlay. The property was again sold off in 2017 but I haven't researched who to. Thanks for the explore and video share.

Spent school camps here in the 90s went a few years in a row, I remember it to be such a beautiful place,especially outside. Always abit creepy but it’s a place I’ll never forget

Went to this place last year and took videos while on holidays there at the boys home I was looking back at them last night and saw a lady or a man wearing a red and white wool jumper I saw her twice in the fottage now I’m seeing her at home.. help

its actually closed to the public nowadays. it has surveillance footage everywhere. i live about a ten minute bike ride away.

As this boys home was run by religion, I wonder if Cardinal George Pell ever spent time there. Due to its scenic view he may have just popped in for a sticky. 😏
