A trip that was supposed to go one way and went the other... Soggy should be the name of this vlog haha!! Enjoy The Bin www.amazon.co.... The Campsite www.lakesemerwater.co.uk Sensor Alarm www.amazon.co....
Just sorting the ads situation out, I don't like loads but RU-vid insists on adding several hundred! Once it's "processed" I'll cut it down to just two ads! :) enjoy watching
Try to support you by letting the ads run, tbf your content is normally over 30 mins so it the least I can do.:-) Where is the bin link that looks useful
@@carlbarton772 that's super kind thank you so much. I popped the link in the description about 5 minutes ago so it should be there now. If not, let me know
@@Yorkshirepoptopadventures thanks for that. We are members of DOC but only recently, we have a different dub but hopefully getting a camper for the fleet lol dubs breed apparently.
You seem very cautious with your diesel heater noise, don't you have the muffler fitted? We find ours quite sedate when it settles down and leave it on all night even on sites. Made my evening to see you popped up tonight. It's always good to see the fam too as it's very relatable.
Awesome mate thank you! . Yeah, it has a silencer on it and it's not hugely loud but if I was next door to another camper it may be a tad on the annoying side!
Had to laugh watching your video 😄 I did exactly the same last night - only the carpark was already totally submerged. Parked on the only grass area left, next to the bridge but decided by 6 o'clock to not risk the night there ☹️ Not much sympathy from local farmers for camping anywhere near by... ended up going home. Ah well, it's beautiful there in the " right" weather 👍
Love the reality of this video, its just the way things go in British springtime! Well done for persisting with filming it in the rain; very entertaining glad its not just us that have to abandon our plans
After seeing this vid. We booked on for bank holiday Sunday night. Weather was superb and enjoyed a awesome stay . Place was busy on the Monday . Pleased to report the water level had receded . Keep up the great work 👍
Aww Colin so sorry you didn't manage to stay there all night! I'm glad you managed to see my message of advise before you was floating 🤣. Thanks for the mention 😁 glad to be of help!. ..Hope you give it another go when the weather is better. There were people on the lake when we were there even in the rain. It is lovely and tranquil though. We will definitely be going back.
Great video as always . We just spent 4 nights in Norfolk.Took the awning down after 1 night then pop top the following night. 52 mph winds and driving rain haha
Get a couple levelling ramps, cheap as chips and solve the old issue of parking on an incline, stupidly easy to use too. Also good for a quick getaway such as you experienced.
Just found you and enjoyed looking through your videos. Just got myself a camper and love walking on my own, in the peace, you make your own decisions which I love, nobody else to consider. Nice you can laugh at yourself, not enough of that these days. Will keep following your adventures and tips.
I hope your good lady knows you like a bit of extra muff. ooooeerrr Mrs. This looks like something I would like to drop by as my In-laws live a few miles from there, but might be nice for a night away. Good man for leaving extra for the Yorkshire Air ambulance - you never know when you will need them.
Actually I am looking to add an awning to the side of my van - purely so if Im soaked, or it is scorching, I can leave the door open, and have a spot outside the van which is undercover, but makes it easier to change, or make life easier.
that was a narrow escape from Semerwater... shame though...just ordered myself the bin....and i noticed the cup holders too... both from that well known online shop....keep the vids coming.
Loving your vids. Having purchased my VDub this year, I’m trying out all sorts, wild camps, campsites. I think I caught your rain three days ago in the Peak District. Can you tell me tho’ how do I stop buying stuff for my van & getting excited over everything that’s collapsible? Lol 😂
Thanks so much Jane.. I will let you in to a little secret, its impossible to stop buying stuff for your van. I'd quite easily forgo eating for the latest van gadget haha
I’m sorry it didn’t work out as planned, that’s camping for you! On a practical note what did you do with your wet waterproofs after your walk? The problem I have is drying the gear for the following day without having damp clothes in the van. I have bought a pup tent but you don’t always want to put it up just for one night.
Sometimes it doesn't go your way 🤣🤣! I popped the wet stuff in to a plastic back, sealed it and put it in my walking bag, OK for one night but if I was staying longer (and it had stopped raining) I would have hung them out ;)
Great vid as usual just went back and watched some on your solar set up how is it going with the board under the panel..... Would be gr8 to get a meet sorted
Great video as usual. Can you put link to campsite and the new bin? Could do with one of them! Fingers crossed my mate for camper jam, not too long now Collin.
Alrite bud just started watching your vids think there great. Can I ask 3 questions 1 love the tattoo what's is say underneath 2 did you make the draw under the bed and is it on rollers. Thanks John
Hiya, that's awesome thank you so much! So the tattoo writing is my date of birth and the coordinates of where I was born! The drawer under the bed, yep, I made it and it's on heavy duty drawer runners ;)
Do you use specific carbon monoxide detectors? I tried a Kiddie but it was going crazy when the van was just sat on my drive... Love the vids btw. Looking forward to getting one of your stickers on our van
Hiya buddy, I use the Kiddie ones too. The one I have at the back of the van goes off when I have been cooking with the door shut for a while but the other one is fine. I think they are super sensitive (it's not a bad thing). Just make sure you have good ventilation and a sensor near head height when you sleep and you should be fine
Hiya bud, we don't use one that fits the sink, we use an external one that we take to the washing place on camp sites instead. We mainly use the sink to rinse things off, teeth brushing and for boiling up for coffee!
