There used to be a Hostess outlet and PathMark on Lincoln Blvd in Middlesex. And an A&P where the current Farmers market store is in the strip mall on rt 28 near Bound Brook Rd. So many old stores come and gone.
Wow, I still drive by that location regularly. I'm surprised you were able to get in through the front like that. That was amazing to see the inside after all of these years. I had many a birthday parties there in the late 1980's as a kid. And I used to play in the play zone area plenty of times. I think this location was a lot better than the new one by ACME.
My Nana worked at that Acme for 30 years. If that was the Acme next to the Dunellen Border. That wasn't the McDonalds across from the High School where Yes I graduated from in 1993. I lived in Middlesex for 20 years grew up there. A lot has changed and sometimes I do miss it.
The DUNKIN DONUTS across the street from this store was originally a GINO'S HAMBURGERS built sometime in the 60's, then was a ROY ROGERS restaurant in the 80's, then briefly a HARDEE'S in the early 90's before it finally became the current Dunkin, but the original Gino's building is still there, over 50 years later! Ironically Hardee's was owned by American Stores (the parent company of Acme) in the 70's, but American Stores sold Hardee's long before Hardee's bought Roy Rogers.
@@Fireman-ol3gf, I know. Just joking, after my last Arby's video. Actually, I had already marked that location for a future explore on Google Maps, but haven't gotten around to it. Guess I might have some time this week.
Just saw his videos. Funny how the one door That I tried after I was already in the place was locked when I was there, but unlocked 2 months later. Seems it's getting worse. Glad I got there when I did.
