Just another abandoned property I passed. A few neat items left behind in a place half destroyed. #abandoned #grimstravels #country #middleofnowhere #subscribe
Hey Grim! I love it when you post a video!! You say “do what makes you happy” that’s funny, and I always say “if it puts a smile on your face then do it”. Great minds think alike. Neat little investigation. That old desk was cool to see and the Three Musketeers book! See ya on the next 🫶
Harbringer of Spring, the redwing black bird, singing in the background. Reminds me of my mom who used to love hearing that song. Pretty day there at the old homestead! Yes! Do what makes you happy. Glad to see another vid, thanks Grim! 🦋🌷😸☮👍
Hi Grim I don’t know your first name so I call you Grim. I think that was some sort of heater. Looks like they are rebuilding. I can’t believe half the house fell down. Must be really old. I hope they do restore looks like a nice little house. Thanks Grim for sharing this charming house with us. Nice work. Stay safe and well out there.❤👍 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 star quality video.
Hey, thanks a ton Ms. Irene! Everyone calls me Grim so it's all good. I love these places, and I greatly appreciate the time you took to watch the video. I find a lot of neat spots like this, so I hope you stick around. Thank you very much, I hope you have a lovely day.
3 musketeers....1844 written in french. So sad....what a perfect place for a homestead!! Those cards remind me of the test sheets we used to and we would fill in the letter....then they would send it through a machine to grade it. Seigler.....oil furnace.
@@olivei2484 I have no idea who wrote it. I don't know that I've actually read it but we read excerpts in french class in school....which I did terrible in...lol.
God I love having smart people on here. And 1844? Wow! I figured the date was way off to be an original copy, but had no clue as to how far off. Thanks Colleen, it's always a good day when I hear from ya. Hope everything is going good with you.
Those cards were for early computers - when I used to work at a recycling place (in 1985) we would pick those up to recycle. The ones we picked up were from the Pennsylvania Turnpike - one card for each toll paid.
Hello from Chicago, my friend! Can you tell me what a carousel mousetrap actually does? Anything spring loaded kind of looks like caution to me lol. I appreciate your time, please stick around. We have really good people here and some great content.
@@grimstravels3416 yes ,it works practically the same way that a modern trap does ,the spring bar is released when a mouse steps on the trigger and it breaks its neck.the carousel trap allowed 6or 8 mice to be caught before they needed to be disposed of ,I hope my explanation helped, btw I’m a new subscriber I love seeing these old places like this ,thanks for sharing your journey.
That bes a red-wing black birb. We had wildland fires near by a few years back and and that remained of several places were the chimney. Cast iron is an old oil stove ( I think) dont see a stove pipe though. 4:31 old Fortran punch card for computer program ( yup, you are correct) prob late 1960s.
Lol🤣One thing Madeline 4got to mention in her comment below that you came across was "asphalt shingles"😅at least you respect property to mak these videos, us livin way up in the mountains in Colorado we hav to do the same.thanks for posting another video. The caved in building at begining was quite interesting🤗
Yeah I try to leave nothing more than a footprint behind when I leave a place. It's a shame it collapsed partway, I'd love to know what it looked like beforehand.
@@grimstravels3416 That's why we continue to be subcribers, you are so respectful and always take time to respond back when you can, like we do, shows appreciation🤗
For real. I do have some smart cookies on here that enlighten me of most of the stuff I'm confused about lol. Great to hear from you Vicki, hope you are well.
@@madisonwhitley539And we live only twenty minutes from you and we have pretty much the same, only difference is, we have only one traffic light, you have zero.
