Abandoned Dunkin Donuts Silver Creek, NY 

I just did some research on this location. In August 2013, the signs were being put up, opened in September. It closed in late 2016/early 2017, sometime after August 2016. It never looked like this location was very busy.

That building looks like a house with bedrooms upstairs. Cool building .... never seen anything like it.

The sound of the spring peepers in the background ... I love it.

I can tell you as someone from the Buffalo area, almost all Dunkin Donuts closed here around 2016/17. This area relies almost exclusively on Tim Hortons and Starbucks. Dunkin was not ever as busy as Tims!

I live in Silver Creek and i was a kid when it closed around 2016 I loved going here! Tim Horton's just took all there business away

There is also a DD in Jamestown NY that is closed as well as Salamanca NY and also a Ponderosa in Olean NY that shut down in March of this year. I work at a DD and we close at 8 every night. We used to close at 9 in the summer but we haven't in a few years. In my town we have two Dunkins and two Tim Hortons and both Tim's are open 24 hours.

I expect this vid to BLOW UP! Dunkin Donuts closing is very rare. I like their breakfast sandwichs and the prices seem very convenient. My favorite donut is their chocolate glaze. Omg so delicious 😋

We had a Dunkin Donuts/Baskin-Robbins open in a former FirstMerit Bank here in Wooster a couple of years ago - it's still going strong today.

We have 2 Dunkin Donuts locations here and both of them moved to new locations in the past 18 months. So now we have 2 abandoned Dunkin Donuts in my town. One abandoned since early 2017 (it moved into a restaurant that was abandoned in 2013) and one abandoned since around March of this year when it moved into half of an abandoned Blockbuster (which has been abandoned for around 8 years except for when Spirit moves in every fall)

i live in silver creek... this place was brand new, i don't think it was open for much more than 1 yr and has been closed for at least 2yr. the problem to me is they don't know how to make donuts, one little squirt of filling is not a donut. i was in there once in the afternoon for a peanut stick and they were out of them and i asked person there if they make anymore and i was told if i want a donut i need to come in morning so guess they just made them once a day. i never went back... it is a beautiful building and wish somebody like paulas donuts from buffalo would open and make a proper donut

I googled the location and according to others, it opened in 2013, and closed sometime last year. According to the reviews, a lot of people were unhappy with this location because they were slow. There isn’t much else on it though.

Awesome video Wallie! You’ve got to start finding some places where you can actually get some food though! I pass through that area pretty regularly, I want to say that Dunkin’ Donuts closed in early 2017 roughly. It wasn’t there for very long, either. There is also an abandoned Chrysler dealership very close to that, as well as an abandoned burger stand, if you would like I could share the info of where they are with you. They’re within about 10 to 15 minutes of that location.

Nearly four years after this video was shot-wondering what has happened to the building… This had to have been a new design; all of the Dunkin Donuts out here in Colorado are either the boxy buildings like a new McDonalds or an older style with wood shingles…and much smaller than this.

There used to be horse 🐎 pulls and tractor 🚜 pulls in Silver Creek, New York back in the 1960's...

We had a Dunkin Donuts here in DuBois, PA something like 20-25 years ago. Wal-Mart came to the city in the early 90's and McDonalds relocated from beside DD. DD left then and was gone for many years. Just last year they opened a new store here now in a new plaza just built last year. DD is now back open right across from McDonald's again. Funny how it came full circle from all those years ago here in my area. I'm not sure how DD will do in our area now after all these years and dynamics have changed. DuBois is home of one of the best independent Donut shops 🍩 and people would be crazy to get DD instead. It's called Scotty's Donuts and they are the KINGS of donut making around here!! I've read reviews for Scotty's Donuts of ppl traveling through my area on I-80, and stopping off at the DuBois exit specifically just to get donuts from Scotty's. No way that is happening at such a high rate for DD here in DuBois, PA. alright thanks for reading my super long comment. Stay awesome! 👌👍✌

Here in the Buffalo NY area we lost most of our Dunkin Donuts. We had I think 26 at one point including this one. Now, we have maybe 6 or 8 that I know of. I'm not sure the reason for the closures though. I think most of them were franchised from one owner and something happened and they went out.

You said you were hungry when you filmed this. I don't know if it is still open, but there was a Pat's Charcoal Hots very near there. I used to eat there every time I went through on my way to the res and often as a kid. Best curly fries EVER!!!! and the hotdogs were great too. Lived in Silver creek until I was 16 or so. There used to be a Tasty Freeze near Pat's as well.

It looks like an old Howard Johnson's Restaurant to me , the kind that used to be off the hiway & used as a rest stop/ eating area....

Building wise this is a big Dunkin Donuts. Most of the ones in my town are so small you have to navigate through the people who do special orders for their coffee and sandwiches and you wait ten minutes for a friggen boston creame donut. I'm able to get in and out at Krispy Kreme . Great video bud. I'm surprised they closed. We are opening several Dunkins in the county in whatever space that is available. Nice to see a cameo by the Wierdo, poor man can never get a meal. Come to Jersey City I'll get you Krispy Kreme or whatever food you like. We have White Castle. Wait. By the way. You were actually in Irving N.Y. Silver Creek is further from the Thruway... About 5 or 10 minutes from where you were. The Pats I mentioned is further as well. Going toward Silver Creek, about 3 miles or so.

I used to go to this one every so often, it's too bad they went out of business. They closed most of the locations in WNY, they couldn't compete with Tim Hortons.

The hours of operation even though it is drive thru being only until 7pm is odd to me. None that I know of ever closed that early.

Check out the old Boston's on the corner of Fisher Boulevard and Hooper Avenue in Toms River New Jersey don't know if you come to Toms River New Jersey but it is crazy how this place closed

Closed about two years ago. Local franchisee ran into financial trouble. Tim Hortons is more popular in this area. I stopped here a few times because I have gift cards and it was completely dead when it was open. Literally had one employee on shortly before they closed and she was outside smoking a cigarette with her boyfriend during what should have been a fairly busy time around lunch. When she saw me go in and followed me in I was literally shocked they only had one employee at that time of day,

Wallie i live in lockport ny and we have had two dunkin donuts closings and both buildings were fairly new one of them looked just like the one in your video here which late last year was reopened as a dominos pizza the other one which looks different on transit is still empty dunkin donuts had a terrible time competing with tim hortons in our area we are also loding our bonton store which is the last surviving piece of the original lockport mall you should come to lockport ny some time and visit us we also have an old kmart structure that was turned into a plaza like setting we also have an old walmart structure that has set empty for several years after super walmart was built in most of the old lockport mall site

One of the DD that closed in Cheektowaga has been turned into a Checkers. I think this one may have closed because of, I believe, of the Tim Hortons down the street.
