Thank you Adam, you have definitely given this place proper homage. So, so sad. The cracks inside the homes, ceiling, floor, walls and the rooms that have disintegrated indicate that the people must have been in a state of absolute terror. May the souls that were lost R.I.P.

I think you could well be right Adam. Properties with contents left must have belonged to families that didn't make it. Hursts my heart so much thinking of the terror these people felt. You've handled this explore in your usual caring, respectful manner. You are a gentle soul Adam, a wonderful man.

It was obvious that this explore really affected you - it was brave of you to admit it was not what you thought it was going to be. What a sad story - a beautiful village filled with life totally wiped out - these poor people. I hope they can save at least some of the buildings - so much history! Thanks for doing this.

I've just done a bit of research because your explores always make me want to find out more. As far as I can tell four (4) people died in the village of Fossa itself, one of which was a young girl. It was abandoned due to the damage and being on a fault line so it could have happened again at any time. There were a total of 308 deaths and 1,500 people injured spread over various towns and villages across the Abruzzo region where Fossa is situated. :(

But surely knowing the accident happened because it was built on a fault line, why build in the same place abd take that dreadful risk yet again? There’s a saying that lightning never strikes in the same place twice, but it does…ive witnessed it! I wish the builders would think of peoples. Lives before they think of the money they can make…each life is so precious 🙏💕🦋🦋🦋💐

Hi Adam, unfortunately quite a few children died in the earthquake, some figures say it was around 20 out of the 309 people who sadly lost their lives. The town was built in the 13th century which is amazing and the houses have some stunning décor. An amazing and very respectful explore Adam. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx ❤
