I have watched a number of your videos now and what strikes me most is seeing a "young" guy of today who really appreciates and has a great interest of how people lived in the past. People today seem to forget too easily the simple lives our ancestors lived and the hard work they put in to achieve everything they own, as opposed to todays constant quest for riches and instant gratification. A simple item such as a transistor radio would be saved up for and kept for decades and not thrown away.............keep up the good work in showing people who would not otherwise know how we used to live.

The insensitive louts who trash abandoned homes need karma to set them right. I appreciate your dedication in keeping things as they were and how you paint a picture of what the owners lives were like. It's like a museum and you are giving us a chance to see how people lived. Your enthusiasm gives life to those who have passed on. Thank you.

Well, he didn't close the cabinet right after telling us how great it is that all of the porcelain is intact and clean. He isn't looting or trashing the place but also not really preserving. At least he closed that door, then again he used that sofa upside down to block it (instead the table) ...

So many beautiful antiques are left behind.. I do love how much respect you treat everything with, and smile at the disgust plain in your voice at the disrespect of others who have traversed through. I've tried watching a few other explorers, but few have the same respect and reverance for the past, and the lives that were left behind. Thank you for taking us with you on your adventures.

The small drop front 'desk' with the bottom pull out 'belly drawer' is a ladies desk/sewing table. She would keep her embroidery or needlework (in progress) in the bottom belly drawer, and the top half had cubbyholes for sewing or writing supplies...and the dropfront let down and made a writing surface with more cubbyholes. The pretty designs on the front surface is inlay in various woods. It would be quite valuable, as are the 1800s flow blue dishes and platters stacked in the dining room. They were made in England and the indigo blue flowed from the front to the back of the pottery. They would also be highly desirable to collectors. There were 100s of patterns of flow blue, and it came in everything, dessert sets, teapots and teacups, casseroles, tureens, gravy boats, cheese and butter keepers, and more! There would be a smudged hallmark on the bottom of each piece of flow blue, which would identify the company and the pattern of the dishes. It was considered the finest kind of useable yet decorative China as blue has always been a favorite! I even have a 14 inch long ice cream/ bon bon tray, which is shaped like a loaf of French bread, and I have a set of round fish plates and the matching oval platter, as well as a set of round Turkey plates and matching oval platter! I love antiques and have many similar items in my own home which I use and cherish as precious links to the past. Hope this helps identify a few items in the video. A great explore! Stay safe, I have subscribed and given a thumbs up. ( I also love that you don't use slang, curse words and etc, and are respectful of the old home, and the items left behind. You are very professional and yet warm and sharing in your presentation. Good camera work as well!)

Thank you so much Adam. It's easy to imagine how this home must have looked like in it's prime. Such gorgeous furniture. Hopefully, at some point the furniture will be rescued by a family member or friend and restored to it's full beauty to be enjoyed and loved again. I have to tell you something...I saw a misty film move across space in two different rooms. Once, in a room downstairs and the second time, in the first bedroom you entered upstairs. I saw it just as you said it felt like someone had come up behind you. Did anyone else see this?

It was Adam's breath, it was so cold in there. But if you really want to see something interesting, go find the video of Adam and Matt looking for the Black Eyed Children in the woods. It was also the scene of missing children. In my comment I tell you exactly how to find the video still of a spirit stand behind Matt. All you see is a solid figure, but all white, like a camera flash, all washed out in white. The video won't show it so you can only see it as a still clip. You won't be disappointed.

I felt really sad watching you go through this house. It did feel like they were so happy living there, then all of the sudden they had to run, and abandon everything. I loved the piano, wish I could come see the place. It's beautiful, I'm just so sad for the people who once called it home. It has a special feeling to it.

Great explore Adam, unique look into the past, the sewing machine is of the type that has a hidden hinge, at the rear of the base, you tilt the machine backwards, lift the lower front base flap up and the machine then settles down under the table, you then fold the left part of the overhang back over the the hole, that is left by the hidden machine, and voila you have table top. I knew this because my granmother had the same, if not, identical Singer Machine. Thanks for sharing this with us all.

The word for the "sitting room" that we use in the states is "parlor" in our older homes that were built prior to television and electronics. You appreicate everything inside and love the detail in furniture. I bet your mum is so proud of you for being such a nice lad. This is the reason why I like watching you explore these houses and properties. I mean you even placed that cjaise long in front of the door so the water wouldn't keep coming through, How sweet is that bless you ... Why would anyone smash the windows of that car? They must be thick in the head and emotionless to do such a thing! ... Stay safe huni and Peace and love to you and your family and Lisa xx

The main staircase took you up to the family’s bedrooms. The other smaller staircase took you up into the housekeepers room. The solid fuel cooker is called a Triplex which replaced the Victorian cast iron cooking range from the 1920s-30s. The room it is in would have been the original kitchen before the addition where the Aga is. A beautiful house and stunning furniture left behind. The carpets are of excellent quality and were very expensive.

Yes, it was well to do. The back stairs is for the help, so that room was most likely the cook/housekeepers room. The room next to it would have been a trunk/luggage room. The house itself is obviously extremely old as shown by the fireplace cooker and the Aga was an upgrade! Behind the cow barn those were horse stables. What a lovely find and so glad it was so well preserved!

The glass would be turned upside-down and placed over the bubble to keep it from sliding around, falling and shattering. 11:07 that little shelf is for your mixer/spicer bottles...think tabasco and such. That front room reminds me of my Aunt and Uncle's front sitting room, when I was a kid. They had a farm too. Transported me right back. Some quirky pieces of furniture that need to be rescued and given some love. The smaller staircase and the room below and above it, could have been the original house and then it was added on to, at a later date. The housekeeper's rooms perhaps.

@@larocca3 I actually have ghosts or spirits in my home. There have been times I want to just leave because they scare the crap out of me. I can smell them, sometimes male and sometimes female, they move things around and occasionally slam things, one time about three feet from my head. If they’re too obnoxious I order them to leave in Jesus’s name but it’s still extremely scary for me.

Loved watching this video. Can you imagine someone cleaned out drawers and cabinets but just left very old pictures of ancesters and looks like what they didnt want with letters they just left on the floor. Plus leaving all the antique furniture. Very sad.

Yes, I've been binge watching, so I'm going back to your older videos 📹 It's amazing this place only had just a few bedrooms it looked soo huge from the outside. Great place, I love how your editing/videos have gotten so much better over the years!! Aside from the car, I'm amazed that the other stuff was still in such great shape, I really wish we knew what all that white stuff was. It almost looked like ashes from the fireplaces. However, I'm sure it was some kind of mold.??.. Awesome, find Mark!! Ohhh, I am very curious if these people knew the royal family personally?? I would've loved to know what some of the letters said or who they were from!!??

This REALLY annoys me... here we have a time capsule...which is literally ROTTING...so many beautiful items which can never ever be remade...they all need rescuing and putting in museums for all to see for years to come and where they are going to be looked after properly. Absolutely breaks my heart watching these even though it is amazing to see...such a massive shame though!

Great place. The Singer sewing machine would lift up and fold down on itself, the work area then folded over the space leaving you with a neat little table when the machine wasn't in use. You were right about the lovely unit with the blue lining. It housed sewing and knitting items. The room with that amazing fire/oven combo would have been the original kitchen and the stairs leading up to the small bedroom from there would have originally been for someone employed to work in the house.

Hi Adam, what an amazing place you've brought us to again, a beautiful place with beautiful furniture that's sadly been left, what I love most about you is your appreciation of fine furniture and how you explain about it, but also how you have respect for the people's possessions that have been abandoned (like other people writing their names in the dust on the mirror, and the paperwork thrown over the bedroom floor 😢), if only others had more respect for these abandoned places it would make it so much more enjoyable for everyone to explore. I'd so would have loved to join you personally on your explorations to be able to smell the smells and feel the vibes that you experience at the time of filming but your witty personality and how you explain everything helps us to feel the way your feeling too. Love your channel and looking forward to many more explorations, from a fan from Somerset UK 🫶👌🥰

How do you folks find these empty homes ,with everything still in them , some times I have to question how these videos are genuine because of the condition of the home and everything is still in them. Honestly people visit the house and film the house, perhaps then show them videos to thousands of people, as a homeless person I am wondering why I can't find an abandoned house as well and buy it or live in unto i can find a place.

Fantastic location. Thanks for all the detail in the vid. The green felt desk is a writing desk. The felt stops the paper from moving. A real shame about that car. :(. In old farms where they had a house keeper, the smaller upstairs would have been hers. The stables and hoof stock barns would have had a stable hand who lived on an upper floor of the central barn.
