Arh yes , ive watched again and your crew mentioned the capped air vents, I thought it also had air vents , but weren't sure. 5 vents in total . Shame it closed most have been really stunning ride in the day, certainly better than being slow driving behind a caravan like every summer on the roads. lol
I see my name is still on the wall before u go in to the entrance..oz Loftus.i put that on the in 1999 when you get from both ends..I went though it a lot when I used to go to whitby..its fun when is fogy..
Just wanted to drop a message regarding the scarborough whitby line, I've just walked from just beyond Stainton Dale to hayburn Wyke and the are doing some work to the bed making it more walkable, anyway they have been digging out the cess and unearthed some concrete markers, the iron mongery has been removed but definitely railway related the next I found a telegraph insulator clay pot, seems as they are digging stiff is pipping up. I also found a catch points sign in the undergrowth of Stainton Dale Station on the hayburn Wyke side, i am looking at doing more walks and looking for more exposed treasures.
