Putting plates and pepper etc in the fridge keeps them safe from rodent activity, and fresh for infrequent use. Masonic halls often have dinners for fundraising. The bathroom nest was for the mud dauber wasp. Generally docile, rare to be stung by them. I watch them collect mud and build at my worksite fairly often.

Awesome exploration video ❤ Yes, that was an old furnace with the blower on the bottom. That stove though, that's probably like a 1940s or 1950s model & looks like it's in very good condition considering the state of the building.
