Here at The Abandoned Atlas Foundation, we work hard to spread awareness and connect developers to places that are historic and “at-risk” of the wrecking ball.
Currently, in Topeka, Kansas, the now-closed Menninger’s Clocktower is in danger of demolition. Not because of the shape it is in or because there is a lack of interest, it’s because the right person hasn’t been found. To the developer with the right plans and intentions, this building will be donated to help with upfront costs and so more money can be spent for the renovation itself.
