Abandoned Rite Aid in South Plainfield, NJ

This Rite Aid closed down possibly in 2018. It looks like it used to be a former Eckerd pharmacy which probably closed down in 2007 when the chain went defunct and Rite Aid took over after. What striked me as weird was seeing what looks like Burger King dumped their signs and kitchen equipment inside the back, probably using it as storage. Still pretty cool to see though lol.

I never been to eckard because I was born in the late 2000s early 2010s but I have been to Pathmark when I was 1

Yeah, cause Eckerd went defunct in 2007 that's why lol

I think you are right and this an old Eckerd's building. I remember them having the same blue trim as this building.

I remember Eckerd from back in the day in the late 90's-early 2000's, there used to be one in Bloomingdale, NJ. Nice pharmacy store from what I remember, wish it was still around!

I looked it up and it was a eckerd until mid 2007

This is a few blocks from my house my sister used to work here. Before it was a pharmacy it had a barn that was an ice cream shop/restaurant named Bandy's that the whole town loved. Now it's just A-Bandys. Rumor has it doe rich Jewish dude owns the property and will not budge for less than $9k a month. There is a few locations like this on park ave. Everyone hates seeing this.

Yeah, I find it kind of odd that BK used it as storage space when they could have placed it someplace else lol. Thanks, I'm gonna try to film some places tomorrow and Sunday morning

I found out that the Kmart store in Port Jervis was closed all the way back in 1993 and set abandoned. It was moved to Matamoras, PA until it was closed in 2018. Would you mind filming at this location?

They removed the old red store front, which was decaying and looked muddy. Half of the shopping strip is now Save-A-Lot, the Kmart is still abandoned there but newer white store front. I wanna film this next week on Sunday morning, along with some other places for sure!

Yeah, I can just tell cause of the blue signage that Eckerd used to have back then. I remember going to the one in Bloomingdale, NJ a long time ago when my dad owned a pizza restaurant there in the late 90's, fun times!

That building brings back eckerd pharmacy days. I wonder how long that place will be closed. I haven’t saw a repurposed old pharmacy in my area yet.

Time will tell on who would be interested in this place but it will eventually happen, good idea for a Family Dollar or Dollar General to be converted into

Is this the one on 2750 Arthur Kill Rd? I see one of the entrance ways are fenced off but I have to go the other way where the Lowe's is, I'll see if I can film it or not
