Hello IKS, i really enjoyed watching your video and thought it was excellent. The rain helped create more atmospheric conditions. Don't forget about your fold up ladders what are easy to carry with you when on an explore.looking forward to seeing more interesting videos. keep up all your hard work and effort. Kind regards David.
I live their and my school over looked it when it was a working mine. The tunnels go out as far as under the channel from their. My grandad worked that mine.
Hands up anyone old enough to remember when the Kent pits were still open and producing coal. I remember the miner's strike and believe that may have had something to do with the eventual closure of all the pits in Kent, though I could be wrong.
The building with the 45 Ton overhead crane,is No2 Shaft Winding engine house. The previous building you were in,was the main store. The first building was the Engineering Workshop, hence the "moving machinery" sign.
I was lucky enough to see the premiere of the new documentary "A Century of Coal" on Saturday. Gives a fascinating background to the coal mines of East Kent. It'll be available of DVD via the new museum at Betteshanger Parks and is being re-shown at the Astor in September - bookwhen.com/coal
such a shame to see a once functional workplace left to decay like this. Maybe one day these industries will be reopened, well can always dream can't I? great video as always guys, shared to my Facebook.
Great as always! Thanks for taking the time to do these. Could I ask if you are using a gimbal with your video camera or are you just steady handed / use post processing? Thanks!
Classic iks great explore my missis likes putting rain sound on her headphones and going to sleep relaxed just glad she's not wet the bed yet always makes me need to go toilet listening to it 😂
Another great video! Can't wait for the next one. I also counted the word "Folks" 14 times but I mite be wrong. Thanks for making great videos to share.
Have u been to Big Pit in Wales...? yeah I know its a commercial open to the public thing but you get a real guided tour of a DEEP mine and you get a real ride down in the cable lift DEEEEEP.... its worth it just for that!!! I guarantee you a good day out!
The building you say you thought was a power station apparently is the "Koepe" Winding House according to some information I found online....although I do agree, it does look a lot like a power station. Good video as always mate, cracking looking place.
rite on time buddy i was just thinking you should be posting a new vid lol thanks for a nother history lesson dude ! at 505 defenitly asbestoes in the electrical box !!
I have to say sorry....I be couraged enough to say this....the first time i so U running with the rangbatches on your shoulder i was upsad....i worte it, u reacted...Again my sorry, cause i follow for longer time now your vlogs and films...and i have to say...Man u would deserve this rank....Lancesergant or tecksergant in the britain service or US army....in german Stabsunteroffizier....Wonderfull vlogs and little movies....go on Addon...from 2000-2011 i was working for the Royal Army as a civ.VM. at 2RTR, and SDG in Bad Fallingbostel....I was working in a same kind of the building. Cool
You can get on the roof of that first building you went inside. From the roof of the single storey toilet block outside, over to the ladder up the outside. Excellent views from above. I threw a shitty red plastic rope around the bottom rung of a ladder on the back of that big square building you went in second, wonder whether it stayed there and was of use to others. I got it up there and didn't even manage to climb it myself.
You should come to Guildford and explore chillworth gunpowder mill and some of the world war two bunkers surrounding it. loads on information online about it.
Sad seeing our once great industry abandoned like this. Can imagine how many people would have worked at this site. Great video once again, always enjoy watching them. Would have loved to have been there to see this.
if any body is going to visit deep dean tunnels Dorking check out far bank opposite tunnel entrances as more bunkers interesting things on other side and i believe ice making was done that side as Pitts are still their for what use i do not know but defiantly needs more exploration buy knowledgeable people like your selves and others good luck on your next video grate watching
Ah, makes sense. Although it's strange they do that with abandoned buildings as it probably cost them a lot and most often than not, they never do anything with them after. :)
If that is where I think it is(Sn*****n) I tried to do an explore there 12 months ago as my father in law used to work there so I took his son...shame it was all sealed up at the time but he did get to see where the pit heads were
Another great Vlog but please wear boots guys doesn't take much for a nail to go through a truck tyre on sites like this. The soles of normal footwear would be no problem and leave you with a possible serious injury
Dave Zwerts Time to find a really big Infantry Surplus store. I'm sure there is some place that has excellent durable boots, that is when you don't need your wellies.
I find it funny when this bloke goes too old war bunkers and stuff, like if he saw a British soldiers ghost imagine how it would look to the ghost. seeing a ginger guy wearing German attire xD
