I scored this BURRIED 1961 Ford Thunderbird for $150. It came with the property that a woman bought and I have no history on it. Let's see if it'll run and if we can flip it.

Me like yourself and the 57 peeps b4 me was sure it was not going to break free and then go and fire off and consume a volitle breath spuuter and finally exhale back to life. Mr. Richard Thomas how could we have even doubted the inevitable outcome?. This man is Top Shelf in All He Does so between Jen and Chris or 'ChrisJen' they are going to raise one heck of a crafty DIYer in their household that may just outpace the both of them once they hit their mid 40's.

Reminds me of the old story about a guy whose car breaks down a block from a service station, he pushes the car there, tells the mechanic what happened, the mechanic pulls out a stethoscope, takes a listen, gets his ball peen hammer and carefully takes a whack at a specific spot. The mechanic tells the guy that that will cost him $50.00. The guy is shocked, and says, "I could have done that with my hammer". The mechanic replies, "I don't think so! I knew where to hit!" You, sir, are Mr. Determination, Mr. KnowHowToDoIt. Nice job.

That trailer coupler ain't goin' NOWHERE !!! 🤣 You are a genuinely kind person Chris, most folks would've verbally crucified the guy that worked on your trailer, but... you showed his failures and laid the blame on his equipment. Most folks wouldn't have done that. God sees how you treat people, and... He is pleased. 😇

Enjoy watching your videos Chris, epically this one. My Uncle Ted bought 2 0f these T-birds NEW back in the old days, a 1962& a 1963. He would drop by my dad's house b(Clifton, NJ) to show me his new Thunderbird with all it's innovative features, air conditioning was one of those features, I forget the reason why he only kept the 62 for one year, but I think it had something to do with the new 63 having more options available, one being some sort of special type of pre-recorded music player, not a tape deck or CD, not even a 8 track, just amazing for it's time, maybe one of your viewers would know. Anyway, keep up the good work , I miss NJ, but who can afford it these days.

The rusty car at 42:17 is a Triumph Mayflower built in the UK from 49-53. Alloy head on a cast iron block. They would seize on - almost impossible to remove due to corrosion. I just love the Thunderbird. All the late 50s to early 60s cars were so cool. Shame it's rotted out.

I LOVE the 61-63 Thunderbirds. Any Thunderbird of the 60's is great though, 60-69 were some of the best looking cars made and had quite a few innovations in them. My dream would be a 63 Thunderbird Monaco, I drove one a few years back and just didn't have the space to buy it.

The comment about breaking the crank triyng to get it unseized. I think you'd be pretty hard pressed to break a 390 crank, they are pretty beefy. Huge difference compared to any small block crankshaft. Good 390 cranks, rods, blocks are getting harder to find.
