This series has been most helpful for me. I just got a mostly free bass boat with practically the same finish left on it. If the engine turns out okay and I can find the right lower unit I think I'll use automotive clear over the top of the boat after I've ripped out the rotten leftover carpet patches. Anybody have any idea how interchangeable the lower units are for manufacturer to manufacture? Is it all about bolt pattern and shift linkage? Is the water pump connection standard?
Seems like the dog with shots is protected being around a dog that didn't have shots. Isn't that the point of the shots? Maybe he needs a little mask too😅
You should pull the motor strip it down send it out to get it hot tanked ,then you can put the block on the engine stand and tear it apart to inspect the bearings that's what I would do😂🎉
My 89 Volkswagen Cabriolet sat for 6 months. Will it run? Yes, charged the battery, turned the key, started right up. AMAZING!!!!!!!! I bought a FIAT that had been sitting for 40 years outside. I changed the oil, put a battery in. Fresh gas. Turned the key, after three tries it started and ran perfectly. So Sick of the will it run crap. If an engine was running and the car was just sitting, there is no reason why the car will not run 100 years from now with a little prep.
I think the owner will be shocked (if he doesn't already know) that the whole car, including engine and mechanicals will have to be stripped, cleaned and inspected for asbestos. So all seals, gaskets, brake linings will have to be ditched. Good luck.
Love your content, I love tinkering with cars also, What?I love the most about your videos , You and your lady , can you give lessons on how to have fun with each other, love it
I watched over 6 videos on R&R valve cover and this is the only one that caught all of the little yet very key points that makes this job go smoothly. Good job.
