Today I take you inside an abandoned Old couples house in the Deep South with everything left behind when they both passed away. They were both world travelers at one point in time and eventually moved back to their home town to raise their kids. But after growing old they both ended up passing away and the home is now abandoned.

That shredded couch in the beginning... That's bizarre. What an out-of-place mystery. ONE item...Even more bizarre is that it COULD be a result of animals but there's nothing (at least visible) of any evidence of something like raccoon poop or whatever. Strange. That other mystery involves asking, "Why were some items taken but not others?"

What a beautiful home it would be to live in. I am amazed that the kids didn't sell everything they didn't want and sell the house. It doesn't deserve to fall into ruin. So sad.

On a whole the house is too far gone to be saved, but before it falls all apart or is torn down, there is as of yet salvageable furniture and artifacts that really deserve to be rescued and find new homes where they'll be appreciated, especially that vintage sewing machine! I noticed many of the paintings had the same initials and similar styles even though different subjects so I suspect with the owners or someone they knew was the artist.

The tiny plastic baby that you said was creepy is most probably from a New Orleans King Cake. The baby was placed under one visitor’s cake/pastry slice (everyone knew to look for it, so no choking). The person who found the baby (Jesus), got a small prize and/or had to host the next time. Originally, I believe that the plastic babies (or coins, sometimes) were made of metal and baked right into the cake. Surprise! 😳😜

I bet someone tore hell out of that sofa. None of the other furniture in living room is torn all to hell. People are so disrespectful, no matter if it's abandon or not. Such a shame that the kids don't want anything to do with it. Just sad 😔 😟 . Maybe they are deceased ..... That canned food will not smell unless the seal is broke on the lid or the jar is cracked , cracking, or broke.Love that big pantry. Furniture is worth a fortune alone. Could still be a nice place with some work and cleaning.......

The baby doll in the second living room looks like a Baby Thattaway, 1970s/early '80s. You flip a switch and she crawls, unless her arm gets stretched out, and then she crawls in place. 😄

Years ago, a friend and I explored an old abandoned house in the middle of nowhere. All the stuff was left in it, but someone else had been there before we explored it. I heard a coven of witches used it sometimes to summon the ghosts that remained. A cemetery was in the woods behind it. It was definitely an eerie old place. Old gloomy rotten stairs and so on.

So odd to see that couch shredded like that, when all the other pieces in the room are nearly intact.?. That is a PANTRY for folks who gardened and canned. I can totally see the teacher vibes, modesty in this home. That second kitchen area could easily have been for a mother in law or other relative or caregiver to live close by -- as in a family type duplex and connected living area; and I think that was a large FREEZER that would not open. Many of these antiques, while not extravagant in elegance, appear to predate the occupants -- as if they belonged to the elders of these people and were carefully handed down. Great show, Mr. B!

I'm thinking that maybe, since there was evidence of rats or mice in the kitchen, the rats made a nest in that couch?? That's the only plausible answer I know...

I believe that walk-through spaces were meant to connect to a child’s bedroom or a spouse’s bedroom (if the couple didn’t always sleep in the same bed). Having the private connector allowed access to the other room in the middle of the night without disturbing the rest of the household.

I absolutely love how respectful you are and appreciate how time just stood still and you where able to capture almost how this family lived. thank you for taking the time to create such beautiful videos. I know abandon house/building hunting can be hard and risky business. That house has a lot of American Victorian and depression era furniture. That cute Santa Claus with the spaghetti trim is a bank made by Napco in Japan in the 1950s very collectable.. It looks like the family got the stuff they wanted and just left the house to fall in what a shame. It reminds me of my grandmothers house.

My mom had a old blue rocking chair that she used to to rock grand babies.it was made out of blue velvety stuff. It was so dirty. So I took it to my house and when I had carpets and couches cleaned I it cleaned too. Those cloth chairs could be cleaned professionally and they’d look new.my rocker looked new when I got it cleaned. My sister who was going to throw it away said oh what a pretty chair. Where did you get it? I said it was moms. You gave it to me. I had it cleaned and tightened up the screws. Lol she was so shocked. So when you see a old chair and it’s cheap. Grt it tighten the screws and have it cleaned. Tadah.
