My wife's grandmother owned the store,and motel back in the 80's. The gas station just closed down a few years ago, that guy wasn't joking, not much left there. I will say however the people in Gabbs will go out of their way to help out a stranger when in need.
Gabbs is a great place. Store was selling books about the history of Gabbs Valley. I highly recommend it as a secondary source for explorers and those curious about the history of the area.
Gary Davis Guessing the only thing keeping that town alive is the mine. If that shuts down, Gabbs will fade like so many others. So much history and culture will be lost to the desert winds.
How lucky are these guys to be able to not only spend this kind of time with each other, but to go on great adventures at the same time!!! Awesome videos!
What a fun family..that's how you keep your kids off drugs, by doing fun stuff with them..I'm a hands on dad to my 6yr old daughter & you inspire me to keep being a big part of her life..& also alot of great ideas of things we can do when She's older..we just went camping in the red river gorge in Kentucky & hiked alot & she absolutely loved it so I can see us doing adventures as she grows..your a great dad keep it up
It's awesome that you spend this time with your family! I've got 4 kids myself and I love spending time with them. As they get older, it really means making an effort to find common interests! Great job, Dad!

I just came across your channel, awesome stuff! I have to say that i admire the relationship between you and your daughters. I just lost my daughter to sepsis at 25yrs old last October, and i can't tell you how much I miss her and how lost i am without her. Keep up the great work. Subbed.

I visited this site 7/6/19, so 24 hours ago. The white pickup truck in the video was leading out an M936 wrecker, towing that white gas truck. I believe it was stolen by those people. I took some video and I’ll share it with EWU later this evening. Such a shame. The yellow trucks are still there, but for how long? This had to be planned - you don’t just run down to Home Depot and rent a surplus USMC 6x6 wrecker on a whim.
I hope there's a part two! This place looks so interesting. The abandoned play ground would be cool to get some shots of, but I wouldn't want to disturb the residents. Kind of sad if you think about the fact that it probably used to be pretty hoppin back in the day. Also RIP Flatty poor guy never had a chance.
That first truck is most likely an old Euclid R24 which was used in construction haulage. The white tanker might be savable since it's bin such clean condition. Looks like a 70s Ford or Chevy. Very cool finds for sure.

That right there is so tragic to see that small populated town turn into some small ghost town with only a few crowd of people, hopefully they get to live their own lives to the fullest, also nice upload very intense stuff!
That caterpillar Emma held turns into a big beautiful moth! They will eat and eat and eat Then they dig a hole and cover themself and then into there cacoon thing . then about 2-3 weeks later they come out!! We have thousands of them migrate every year here and I rescue some from our pool. Then keep a few to feed and let them do their wild nature thing . they are super easy to own and release
