Rambling through wilds of Northumberland County in Pennsylvania, I discovered an old colliery ruins. Hidden in woods behind a local cemetery, this location consists of a few ruins and a couple of creepy abandoned tunnels. In this video, I managed to sneak in one of tunnels (full of deer bones) and almost regretted it.

I search and explore alone ghost towns, historic, abandoned, haunted places in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. My explorations are based on local creepy legends and old maps research and aimed to discover something new in urban exploring.
Found an abandoned 1915 tunnel behind old cemetery in Pennsylvania.
Please be respectful to ghost towns, haunted and abandoned houses! No trash and graffiti!

Nice video presentation. I've spent considerable time in Northumberland County. Centralia, Mt Carmel, Shamokin, Tremont, etc.

Hi Darina, so wise of you to have a gas detector along. The metal vats 1:20 to 2:30 reminded me of a textile mills dye house operation, Textiles were huge in PA.once upon a time. You are a "very brave soul" to venture into those tunnels. Sure, you can see the bear/whatever is not home but I would be thinking🤔🤔---what if it comes home while I am half way in or more and I don't see an exit in front of me?🤐🤐🤐 It was fun, thanks for taking me along.

Hello Tom! Hope you're fine 🙂 Regarding those tanks, your opinion is valuable, as always 👍 Honestly, i dont know how they were used. It smelled with oil in the room and i decided it may have been some kind of oil storage or filter station. 😂😂 Yes!! I expected a bear in the end of tunnel, but really it would be much funnier if it comes home when i crawling inside. I'm laughing now imagining what facial expression would i have i that moment)))

Hi Darina. Another wonderful share. I have always been bummed out whenever I was stopped because of a barrier or blockage. Still doing it made it worthwhile though. I do give you mad props venturing and exploring those tunnels alone. Keep up the good work and Thank You 😊

Hi Francis! Thanks a lot! Have to wait for summer. Really want to crawl to the end of the tunnel. I heard this site may be demolished soon to make a place for new warehouse. Need to document everything before this disaster((

Hate to think of the waste that came out of that metal drainpipe one time ! YEESH ! Looks like steam was used for something there in the first bit . Looks like you stumbled into a bears den at the end there ! You were wise to get the heck out of there fast !

One of the last vids I saw of yours, it was in the Pine Barrens, remember when you went there? Those old abandoned houses in the midst of th woods? I was on the edge of my chair watching LOL

Hi Lyndon, I was pondering about bear presence there later, and think the property was vacant. Usually, it really smells wild animals when a den is occupied.

Looks to me like the site was an old textile factory and the filled in tunnel was possibly a narrow gauge rail feeder line feeding the site.

hi, William, it used to be a coal mine site. Not sure, of course, but i inclined to think it was a drainage tunnel. Too tight even for narrow gauge railroad. I had to crawl inside

@@walkingcam1 Oh yes, I see. The engraving at the top of the entranceway to the tunnel, giving the date of construction looks very similar to what one would find on the top of a railway or transportation tunnel.

@@williamharris9525 Good Spring slope mine, Lansford mine No.6, Williamstown RR tunnel. Here's three locations, i visited recently, have dated entrances. It really helps figure out history of places

Hmm, just scoped out the quick pic in the beginning September 1915 Did that give you any clues to go on to figure what the place was ? Somewheres about the time of WW1 .

Colliery ruins. I believe that just was a tunnel to drain water from the mine. Mine entrance is buried. I visited the site three times trying to find the hole, but no luck, despite i have exact gps of it.
