I found this abandoned mine site in Luzerne County on Google Maps a few months ago, but because of the far distance from Philadelphia just today I could show up here.
I expected to explore and film some historic mine buildings, however was lucky to find a bit more. For example, a huge abandoned tunnel looking like apocalyptic undergrounds in Metro 2033 horror movie.
00:00 Chapter 1. RR station, breaker №7 ruins
02:45 Chapter 2. Abandoned boiler house №27 tunnels
06:56 Chapter 3. Machine/car repair, Carpenter, Blacksmith shops
08:44 Chapter 4. Trail to the South mine shaft fan
10:07 Chapter 5. Mine fan shaft
11:54 Chapter 6. Electric exhaust fan building (or an airshaft to forge) in trailless wilds
---------------------------
I search and explore alone ghost towns, historic, abandoned, haunted places in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. My explorations are based on local creepy legends and old maps research and aimed to discover something new in urban exploring.

Hi, Tom! I had some free time this winter and did this book as a copy of ''Malleus Maleficarum'' and added a few Dürer's engravings. The mine was really cool, especially because I unexpected to find so big space in the tight hole in ground.

Thank you, William) The book is an exact copy of ''Malleus Maleficarum'' (usually translated as "Hammer of witches") issued in 1494. I spent two weeks doing it 🙂

Like that book thing there in the beginning ! Pretty cool ! How old are them ruins ? Didn't know ol Pa. had such things back when I was wandering. Don't know how anyone could setup camp in those nasty caves. Must smell lovely judging by the beer cans if ya know what I mean !

Hello, John! Thank you! I did this book in winter. Wanted to create something looking mystical. Found "Malleus Maleficarum'' 1494 in Library of Congress and made an exact copy. The buildings were built 1904 if i remember correctly. Yeah, i met a couple of homeless guys in bushes that day. Probably this tunnel is used by them as a winter shelter.

@@swojal1493 Hello again) Just answered you in the previous comment. This undergrounds were found unexpectedly. I been there to film some suspicious foundations and noticed a tiny hole in the ground. I love to poke my nose in any hole, but didn't expect to find so huge underground space that day
