The semi-silent desert ambiance- the trains rolling in the distance- planes flying overhead. These things alone would keep me wandering that property for hours...
WOW What a collection of Once beautiful vehicles. I remember many of them. An era long gone. The atmosphere of the time matched the vehicles personalities. I am glad I was part of that time. Recently my Nephew bought a Laurentian, I think it was a 67, cant really remember but it has the original blue paint & interior. Nothing was changed, the previous owner kept it in his heated garage & rarely if ever drove it & he bought it when he was very young like my nephew.. It was a real treat to cruise in it with him. Brought back many memories. BTW, I loved the background noises, sounds very much like it use to decades ago in old car bone yards, I wish I could visit there.
Thanks for the ride👍 These ol' "rust ranches" are like Gods own Museum of automotive history... Especially dig the old hand lettered doors & tailgates.
Thank you very much for sharing this video, I have watched a couple of times and see something new each time. There is an amazing number of studebakers, Nashes, ramblers , even a Willys and Oldsmobiles in this lot. I would love to walk this lot.
Some of these cars are worthless due to the windscreens being broken out. Many of the cars you just can’t get glass for them at any price. They certainly have parts car value. Ten thousand thumbs up on this video where ever you are !!!!!
22:41 That's a bloody Ford Capri from the UK! I would be willing to bet that's one of very few ever imported to the US and it looks like it could be a perfect project still!
Wowww, theirs quite a bit of inventory on these premises, love them old cars, trucks, tractos/ag machinery, ext, i love that 67' boxcar sure wish i had it in my back yard, i surely could use it,. Love that vintage recordplayer, reminds me of what my dad had, i believe his was a Zenith brand, Awesome, AWESOME!!!! More please 🇺🇸😁👌👍
Wow subaru brumby 4wd ute ,didn't know you guys in the states got them ,they were very popular here in NZ they were crazy good offroad ,,.NZ terrain is a serious test for any vehicle & they could go anywhere 4wd hi-lo range & mine had a factory diff lock .Heavy 4wds would sink & get stuck in the mud they were so light they would just go straight over the top ,,sand ,rocks & mine would float across rivers like a jet boat lol .But they all rusted out fast here very few left ,someone should remake vehicles like that ,they had 1800cc 4cly engine cheap as chips to run & simple & easy to maintain ,drove really well perfect around the farm or snow laden areas & cheap to purchase ..Bloody good wagons .
I agree with you. I've had trouble people breaking my windows but not as much as these people have. Lily I saw two cars that I like. The windows were not busted out. Talking about this yard on this video. I saw somebody filmed it two days later and the windows were busted out! But in the end it doesn't matter. Don't matter here at least because these are being crushed as you're reading my reply. 😢
@@CAROLDDISCOVER-1983 wow, that’s sad. That is vil.Once these old vehicles are gone, they are gone forever. Someone who has a fetish of throwing rocks through windows, perhaps someone who works at the junkyard. Can one buy one and try to save it from the crusher? Thank you.
Too bad these things are crushed out now 😔 . Or in the process of being crushed by the new owners. You showed part of the yard that nobody else showed.
@@BobTheBreaker9 honest I don't remember the name of it. But by now everything's been crushed and it's gone. I believe they were going to put in a subdivision.
@@BobTheBreaker9 yeah I checked and it's when I was thinking of. It's kind of in central california. If you look at Gas ⛽ pump Rob on petrol media. He knows a lot more about this yard than I do. He actually bought a vehicle out of there before they crush them all out.
44:36 A Simca Aronde! They were imported by Chrysler in the mid 50’s to the he early 60’s. Chrysler imported other Simca models up to 1972. That Aronde is a rare sight here in the USA.
C'est dingue de se dire comme ont les voit là, qu'elles sont un jour sorties d'usine toutes flambanttes neuves. Et on est là aujourd'hui. Et nous...on regarde.... Et ont a envie d'en adopter quelques unes. ✌️
A lot of old 50's and 60's cars which is great to see but a totally disorganized yard as the vehicles are mixed up by manufacture. Ford, GM, Mopar, etc.
Gone is where this place is it's out in California. This past Wednesday the new owners for not give them any more extensions. The weather but I'm way behind cuz I got a lot more room than usual say we're unable to get rid of as many here it says super crush them all out and get in about maybe $500 for car. They kept selling what they could. Knowing that what was left would go to the new owners of the property. There's been some other videos on this place. The man collected these cars and died and I think it was his son and daughter maybe grandson and daughter that wanted to save his legacy and get rid of as many of them as they could. Well sad thing is gone now. Probably take another week of crushing to get rid of what was left. But the good news is that there are many wide open spaces so they got rid of a lot. Ironically they just have crush what they thought were already junk. So it's like so many places. You get to see them when it's too late to do anything about saving one.
@@CAROLDDISCOVER-1983 well that sounds better than I was thinking. Thank you for taking the time to respond and also for putting the video up.! It's folks like you who help the legacies go on and some of those old beauties find new homes. God bless you
There is a special place in hell for people that buy these places only to go and wipe out all the history by crushing everything! Sorry guys but i have nothing but contempt for people that do that sort of thing! Yes, some of the cars are picked clean and worthless now but so many of these still have lots to give or could be projects that would preserve the history! 🤬
I M desperately to jfind where this is at or there need to find out where this is or there na.e or contact info. I am in luv with one of the uncool cars. It's a 4door. But lm in luv with it any way and if l can't save it I'll cry😢.if I could just get contact info of of this golden age of flight guy. It would be much aprechated. Thanks Will😊 ps remebee it's a 4door if I don't save it it will get crushed😢 appropriate
You are not a car guy if you are putting someone down for what they think is “ desirable” There are no set rules on what makes someone a “car guy” It is subjective. Just because someone has different tastes than you doesn’t make you, or them, any more or less a “ car guy”
Oh man you get the best prices at the abandoned junkyard. Sometimes the hole in the fence junkyard will give you a great discount the five finger discount.
