Abandoning my Siamese Cat for Europe

We have a few videos planned so there will be more content for the next weeks. Unfortunately, only Tobias does the editing so we rely on him to have time after work to get our videos put together... So when he's away, there is nothing I can do 😂😂

Much beer was had I believe 😉 Though from the footage we can see that he still jumped at the opportunity to have a Guinness.

You're absolutely right! A lot of people say I'm a helicopter mom but I'd rather be safe than sorry, especially with our older gals. Thank you for sharing your story with us. Sending you and all the fur babies lots of love from sunny South Africa.

@@MomoSiamese No worries I am with you! Once in California Matthew had some spider bites so I took him in for a look by a local vet. The first thing he said was “16…thats a pretty old cat” and I said “oh what do you recommend, euthanizing him for spider bites? How about some antibiotics to start?” They had “office cats” (hate that!) and one jumped up by Matthew and sneezed. Two nights later I was at the 24 hour vet at 3am with my sick cat, and THAT VET also remarked at his advanced age! I said please give him fluids and give him back to me I am not leaving him with you to kill” - we got meds and went home WITH my cat. He lived nearly six more years. Helicopter or not, they are our responsibility and you cannot be too careful! PS as Momo ages watch carefully for kidney failure around age 13…if he gets past that issue, 20 plus is very likely!!! Siamese are sturdy healthy cats! And our family “tuxedo” Lovey also lived to 20 - long lives are not just a “Siamese” thing!

@@mjc63That’s malpractice from the vet to have another pet in the room with you. Some vets simply don’t know what they’re doing. 16 is old, but not that old. I mean, they can live up to 20 years. Sure, sometimes they reach the end of their rope but other times they’re healthy and simply need some treatment.

I used to live in a village a few hours from Lyon so I have been there, but maybe I should take hubby along for a visit one day and show him where I grew up as well.
