ABAP SQL Trace Analysis - Analyzing Database Access with SQL Trace in ST05 and ADT (Eclipse) 

Watch this informative video to learn how to use the ABAP SQL Trace to perform a comprehensive analysis of database accesses. The SQL Trace serves as a central monitoring tool for tracking all communication between your ABAP system and the database. Learn how to easily enable and disable the trace directly from the ABAP development tools. However, to drill down into the trace results, you'll need to launch the Technical Monitor Cockpit, which is accessible through a browser-based application.
Unlike other monitoring methods, SQL Trace isn't limited to a specific user, client, or server instance - it captures traffic from all connected databases. Drill down into the trace results to explore detailed information about individual SQL statements, including database execution time and volume of records accessed. Gain insight into native SQL syntax by examining statements as they're executed at the database level.
While the SQL Trace provides powerful insight, there are some limitations to consider. Only one user can activate the trace at a time. In addition, if you activate the trace using the ABAP development tools, you won't be able to apply trace filters.
