Dassault System should learn a marketing strategy from this man. Lots of students dislike Abaqus because it is bloody expensive to learn. Really.

what is the difference between running the job with double precision and not? Is it about accuracy?

why does the water-Part hast the same dimension like the can since the can contains the water? Does'nt it affect the result? I have a general question concerning the use of shell element

Very nice tutorial, thank you for it! I followed it 2 times to make sure everything was done as it is. I have a problem in the visualization final step. For some reason the water does not show particles as you have, its like space between them is so thin that it is not even possible to notice the particles. Is there a way to dacrease the particles size? I can send you and picture if you could help me :)

Not a system I'm used to, but the density looks off by factor of 10 (ton/mm3)?

Plz explain why & how such simulations are important in industrial profits......🙏
@abaqusacumen7397
@abaqusacumen7397 2 года назад
I guess you understand the finite element modeling. 22 year back the fluid structure interaction was developed to address the bird strike event for aerospace industry. Later on it was leverage for other industries like packaging. Now coming to your point how it is important for industrial profit. The bodies of beverage cans are made of aluminum alloy (Al) 3004, while the ends are made of Al 5182, making it the largest volume alloy combination in the industry. Every gram saved on the material gives huge saving to beverage industry. I will suggest you to do some of your own research before criticizing others.

I am getting this error :(Error in job Candroptest: The rigid bodies with the reference nodes contained in node set ErrNodeRefNodeNoRot1Axis have atleast one axis about which the rotary inertia magnitude is zero, and the rigid bodies have atleast one rotational degree of freedom which is unconstrained. Either rotary inertia must be defined at the reference nodes or all of the rotational degrees of freedom at the reference nodes must be constrained. See the status file for further details.)..... please help

Hello, Thank you very much for your videos about SPH, it is really very helpful, I am modelling the fall of a column of water under the gravity, so at t=0 the water collapses. How do I model that? I do not know what is the velocity so which predefined field I need to consider ?
@abaqusacumen7397
@abaqusacumen7397 7 лет назад
You can use CEL Technique. See our latest videos on CEL.

Hi again, Thank you for these videos! I watched the 2 videos on CEL, I can't understand what are the benefits of using CEL over SPH. And in both of the videos you used the velocity as a predefined field which in my case I don't have its value. In my case, initially I have water inside a storage tank, and then when I remove the tank suddenly the water will collapse under gravity until it hits a wall which I need to study its strength against fluid impact. So, during the simulation the storage tank doesn't have to be there while as I can understand from the videos the tank need to be there to fill it with water as the CEL method requires. Do you have any suggestions do model that?
