To debate whether or not ABBA would be as popular today is subjective. In my opinion, there are legions of new fans as their music stands the test of time. If ABBA was just entering the scene today, I firmly believe they would be more popular than ever, given the "new media" with videos and internet et al...... Without a doubt, four of the most talented ever people to come together in one group. Love you all.
I am 16 and abba is way better then some music you can get now they adleast had amazing voices and brillient songs :) I wish I could have seen them live :)
I say it unashamedly that I was in love with Frida and Agnetha from when I was 11 or 12 years old. Fancy, being involved with 2 beautiful women at such a young age! ;-) Amazing music, amazing songwriters, amazing production! It hit`s a spot somewhere inside that probably doesn`t even have a name.

This was the first song I heard of theirs when my mom got me into them in the 80s, when I was a teenager. I still love them, and have gotten my 13yo into them too. It's great when your kids love the same music you do! LOL

Yep, that is something that kept me wondering for years but in my opinion music is a reflection of society and a factor in musical developement. I even begin to see an analogue between things that happened in the past which can be found in the music for that time and changed it decisively. Not particular songs but the arise of more aggressive styles. ABBA is distinctive in reproducing the time as it was all those years ago! Apart from that, great musicians and far ahead of their time!!
Abba were not of their time or ahead of their time, they are timeless with a relevance whenever you listen, thats why so many still do play their music. As to your comments on todays music, you just haven't heard the right piece, or maybe your ears are not open wide enough.
ABBA is smart not getting back together. Bjorn and Benny are doing great at keeping their music heard. Who else has the following that ABBA has? Certainly not he Beatles Or Elvis. 30 years and ABBA still sounds as fresh today as it did in the 1970's
I've spend the last decade listening to various underground music and despising "pop" music as music for the lame, for people who have no real taste or opinions, but man-oh-man does Abba sound amazing to me! Love this. Is something wrong with me?
this song is in my heart.. brings back so much memories at child.. my parents use to listen it in the car on the way at vacation.. i feel young again when i listen this.
here i like their particular equilibrium between pop disco & prog music... it's quite aerian it goes beyond the usual down to earth disco beats ... It's like musicians with their feets movin' the tempo counter the earth and their heads between the clouds... it's just an imaginary picture that i have about this song... it's quite special in their discography
