when I hear this song I shut my eyes and am an eagle in flight over a big river with my claws skimming along the river its one of my favorite abba songs I do the same when I listen to fleetwood macs song albatross they are both hauting songs to listen to

I am still so fascinated by this song ! The whole arrangement, the melody and the beautiful singers make this record simply magical. I start cryin‘ when I see videos of this song, which is my number one hit from ABBA. For me, only very few other groups could compete with Abba, i.e. The Mamas and the Papas, the Beatles, the Moody Blues, the Bee Gees and maybe Queen were able to compose different Pop and/or Rock songs. Pink Floyd was also one of the best groups, but in another style I would say, and of course there have been plenty of other groups which still have their fans throughout the world….

In fact there are many groups with a good live performance (e.g. Bachman Turner Overdrive with Roll on down the Highway, Led Zeppelin, Rose Tatoo with Rock‘n Roll Outlaw, the Sex Pistols with Anarchy in the U.K. or Pretty Vacant. Also Status Quo, Queen ( Radio Gaga, The show must Go on, who wants to live forever, we will rock you; or AC/DC, Foreigner ( I want to know what Love is ) or Paul Mc Cartney, playing the classic hits from the Beatles) There are more and more artists and bands, it‘s impossible to mention them all. But originally we talked about the music compositions and not only the live performance…

It was released in select countries and France as a double A-side with Thank You For The Music. It was not released in the UK and was going to be released as a single in the US, but was withdrawn. It’s my favorite ABBA song, so I agree. I love Dancing Queen, but it makes me sad when people don’t know that ABBA is much more than just Dancing Queen.

I hope one day all ABBA fans can hear the version of this that was performed at ABBA Voyage London. As a long time Abba fan I had never given this song a second thought. The version at Voyage was absolutely incredible and put this song in the top 3 abba songs for me.

I played “the album” to death and yes Eagle and I Wonder were and still are my favourite Abba songs, neither were singles in uk but that mattered not. Similar on Voulez Vous my preferred song there was “ If It Wasn’t For The Nights….again not a uk single release.

A total masterpiece. Abba cleverly never released this song as a single so us who loved it after watching Abba The Movie had to buy the album, which resulted in the band selling over 5,000,000 copies worldwide. Financially it was an amazingly successful decision to make ❤️💰🎶 The stereo recording and video that accompanied the album were utterly superb. Listen to this track via headphones, or earphones ❤️🎧✨

Ми зазвичай бачимо лише чотирьох виконавців гурту, а решта музикантів лишаються "за кадром", хоча музика багатоінструментальна. Було б цікаво дізнатися про решту музикантів групи, що забезпечували таку шикарну музику чотирьом відомим виконавцям. Музика та виконання, як завжи, шикарні. Дякую.

This is the absolute climax of the phantastic history of these geniuses. Never again was any human being able to deliver such greatness and beauty in popular music Production. This is so perfect and graceful that my breath stops when watching. These guys had a cable to beyond, just inconceivable, breathtaking. Just watch Agnethas Performance. That is outer space.
