I really, REALLY love "Move On". That being said, it's criminal that a song such as "I Let The Music Speak" remains unknown to the general public. Ditto (to a lesser extent) for "It Wasn't For The Nights", the smash-single-that-should-have-been. These two would get my pick - if we're discussing non-singles, at least.

I can't live whithout The winner takes ir all and Super Trouper. After these ones, I love ALL ABBA songs, but it's impossible to make a ranking, but there are some songs that you specially like, and you don't know why, for example, for me they are Kisses of fire, When I kissed the teacher, One of us, As good as new, I've been waiting for you, Lovelight, Elaine, Me and I, Dum Dum diddle, and some more, because each time I listen to them, all my hair in body is up.
Really, when you have ABBA's rich discography to choose from, no matter what order the tracks come in, you're almost certainly going to have a great list. With that said, I think Name Of The Game has managed to put itself as equivalent with Hole In Your Soul for me.

Hard to say what's my favourite song by this amazing band, probably a tie between Kisses Of Fire and Hole In Your Soul, but they have at least 50 excellent songs, so I couldn't do a list like this, at least not in order. Anyway, great list, probably the best I've seen (no songs from the last album, I liked that)
There are maybe 2-3 OK songs from the last album, it's abysmal compared to the previous stuff. People who consider this their best album need to clean their ears.

Now that I see this top again, because I secretly love to see song tops, I notice that there is only one song from Super Trouper and none from The Visitors. In my opinion, in those two albums there are a lot of good songs that deserve to be in the top 30, Slipping Through My Fingers, The Winner Takes It All, When All Is Said And Done, Lay All Your Love On Me, etc. I respect the opinions of other people, and I really understand why songs like On And On And On or Elaine are excluded.

There is no right or wrong answer to what is Abba top tracks. It's purely down to personal choice. You could ask 100 people and you would probably get 100 different answers. Possibly the best guide to their best tracks is by the number of streams on Spotify.
All taste are personal and subjectiv But some songs are objetive in any Top 10 that you don"t include: Waterloo Mamma Mia Take a chance on me The winner takes it all Super trouper and, for the same, Fernando Knowing me knowing you Chiquitita Thank you for the music are much better and could be Top 10 too and from "The Visitors" Slepping through my fingers One of us are Top 30 no doubt my Top 10: S.O.S. Their upbeat songs aside, perhaps a slower song or two, like schoolbag in hand, the day before you came, my love my life and more, would've put the lid on this list. Not just about diversity, and this is strictly my prerogative, but I feel that lists- ABBA's especially, suffer from a lack of interest toward their more emotive songs. Still, twas a good list. I was definitely surprised with the number one, but it was a change from the typical winner takes it all/dancing queen.
@@rdsieben Fair enough. But ABBA are still better. Not by a wide margin, but they are in fact better. They have far less fillers on their albums, for example.
It's always interesting to see how others rate their songs. I was shocked Take a chance on me didn't make the list and more shocked Hole in your soul was number 1. That would be near the bottom for me but everyone has their own favorites.
I would honestly put out I Have A Dream just to include Take A Chance On Me. If you are interested in more tops, I would recommend a video from ABBFridalicious where she counted down all ABBA songs.
I don't understand why many ABBA fans don't like Hole In Your Soul, maybe it's because of the voices in the chorus, but with Lay All Your Love On Me they are very rejected by a certain group of the fandom.
Well, it's either that, or I conducted a world-wide poll that involved 50 million ABBA fans. Believe it or not, it's the former. And I believe the former is better than what the latter would be. You guys would have chosen "The Winner Takes It All" as no 1, and I simply couldn't allow that. It's a good song, but overrated. It was tough to choose 30 songs. I suppose 50 would have been easier in the sense of including ALL the great songs, but too much work.
@@PA-p23qw Just heard 'Bang A Boomerang' today and was the only sour note on their third album. I'm not a massive fan of 'The Day Before You Came' either but a lot of folk seem to love it which I found surprising.
How nice to see this video again, it has very good quality, however, I have disagreements. Mamma Mia and Take A Chance On Me deserve to be on the list, and Arrival isn't too high? it's very nice but it's just an instrumental track. I also really think That's Me deserves to be at the top. But I love that Angeleyes and The Name Of The Game are so high, they are two of my favorite songs.
I see too that questioning the list can get you snarky answers from the person who compiled this. The Winner Takes It All is "overrated"? Well, that may be your opinion, but that still doesn't rank it behind Dum Dum Diddle or many of these other questionable entries.
Snarky? Or maybe you get too easily offended by a tiny little joke. Relax, it's just a YT clip, it won't bend the space-time continuum in any way that endangers the music you enjoy.
This list is obviously of the personal opinion of the person who made this video...not a true definitive list. For songs like The Winner Takes It All, Summer Night City and The Day Before You Came not to crack the Top 30 and for Knowing Me, Knowing You to only hit number 25, there should be a disclaimer that the list is one person's opinion only. These are all great songs but, sorry, not all top 30 worthy on my list.
Newsflash: there is no such thing as a "definitive list" of ABBA songs. Or of any band's music. Except of course when I post it. Then it's most definitely very definitive in every definite way shape or definitive form - aside from the fact that THE WAY OLD FRIENDS DO should have been placed in the top 5. That is my only error.
