I was originally hesitant about this hologram concert, not having too much of expectation, until I went to the premiere on 26th, I burst into tears at the first song immediately. This is the most vivid and real-in-life hologram I have ever seen, cell phone recording videos cannot truly tell how real and touching that this concert is, please be sure to go to ABBA Arena and experience it yourself, it’s one of the best concert concert I’ve ever been to, god bless technology!
@@rdylan27 What difference does it make? It's still their concert, their backing band, their ABBAtars, their arena, their vocals, their light show... it's just put together in a different way than perhaps a record of a traditional show would be. It's grounding breaking. I would love to go but I can't travel.
You lovely girl!If you watch ABBA THE MOVIE You'll see there were thousands more like you. It's the ABBA touch!Even after so many years lot's of us still can't escape it.They just make us FEEL.
@@sebastiansomething7138 yes. Its emotional, they split up 40 years ago and nobody expected them to get back together let alone for a concert, especially with their history and being divorced, lots of people had the same reaction as me.
I still can't believe I was there dancing and singing alone together with my MOM!!! ABBA is the music of my childhood. My mom was singing it to me when I was 0 years old! )))) And now, being there together, MAMMA MIA, FANTASTIC TIMES we're livin' in!
Traveled from Boston, US, to London to see this for my 60th birthday. It felt like a charge or volt of energy hitting me as the ABBAtars appeared; and from there, it was like taking a flying saucer ride with ABBA for 90-minutes. This show is a marvel. I just wish that it had gone “On and On and On!” ❤❤❤❤
This is the best concert I've been to my entire life, it is amazing, the opening song is out of this world, and then when they sing SOS it just hits you emotionally, I basically started crying for no reason..., it was the best experience of my life... This concert is simply the best... there is no way you can tell the difference between Hologram and reality... from the moment you arrive from the train station to the concert everything has been thought out properly... I wish every other artist is taking notes, 'cause Abba just raised the bar so high, very high with the standards of How a concert should be done. Thank you Abba!
@@edicarlos4704 My personal favorite song is The Winner Takes It All. There is so much raw emotion in that song. When you attended the concert, did you find any unique gifts in the ABBA gift shop?
I was present for the premiere on 26th May, located centrally on the dance floor opposite the stage, so I can't speak to the view from the "side view seats" mentioned by a commentator below; but what I can say is that it was an amazing experience, one that any ABBA fan would absolutely love. And I think this concert is very much for ABBA fans. One gets the sense that this is a parting gift from ABBA to their fans, and as such I don't think we could have asked for more. Yes, for all its sophistication, the technology has inevitable limitations; but maybe the nature of the technology is such that these limitations can be overcome with future advances. There's an unfortunate "uncanny valley" effect with some of the CGI, but not so noticeable as to detract from the overall effect. Technological limitations aside, the concert is an immersive event, with the ABBAtars, lighting, sound and live band coming together to provide a unique experience that I'm afraid these youtube uploads simply can't capture. It has to be experienced to be appreciated. Notwithstanding, I think the youtube fan uploads serve as a much appreciated substitute for those who cannot make it to the concert, and gives those not sure whether or not to attend an idea of what to expect. However, that fan videos are taken down is very much at the discretion of the ABBA Voyage team and, whether sanctioned by Benny and Bjorn or not, it is completely their right to do so. A great deal of time, energy and resources have been committed to this project, and should they feel that the fan videos potentially detract from the uniqueness of the event, then that's their call to make, however disappointing that decision might be.
Saw this last night.... I'm middle aged and pretty jaded.... Came out feeling like a delirious giddy teenager....if you like ABBA.. Actually... If you like good music and a fun night... This is for you. Simply incredible. Abba are the band that just keep on giving..... Thank you for the music!
Just visited London from California and saw it twice (once on dancefloor, once in seats). It's spectacular! People start heading into the arena an hour ahead. There are 3 giant screens showing snow falling in a forest. Then the lights go out. A light comes on in the center of the middle screen. It then cascades quickly down both sides- way past where the screens ended and outside your field of vision. You can hear the whole arena gasp as everyone is thinking, "Is the entire arena a screen?" Thats pretty much the case. Then in the darkness you see four small circles of light. Slowly, the 4 ABBA members rise up onto the stage. After about 30 aeconds I thought this is mind-blowingly realistic. After a couple of songs, Benny walks out of the darkness to the microphone, tells a few jokes and then walks to the piano. He plays a few bars of Mary Had a Little Lamb or something and everyone is thinking, what? Then he stops and launches into the distinctive piano opening to SOS. The crowd goes wild. A little later when they did Chiquitita, you could see everyone (not just the dancefloor but the seats too) waving their arms over their heads to the song. And i dont just mean a lot, it was 95%. Those were a few standout moments to share what it was like. It was a joyous experience.
People are so easily pleased by the re incarnation of Zabba a soulless zombie version of a once amazing group but at least the Money money ,money keeps rolling in , Shameful tarnish to a once stellar legacy
I went to see this and thought it was going to be okay. but I was wrong. It was absolutely amazing. what a night it was. No one could sit and stay still they were all up and dancing me included. If you are thinking about seeing this, stop thinking. Get tickets while you can, it is an outstanding experience that will live with you for ever.
I think this show is a great experience for fans had not the opportunity to see Abba in their concerts in 1977 or 1979 or 1980 in japan. In fact they have no opportunity, or they are not living at this time. I had the opportunity to visit the concert of the North American and European Tour 1979 in the Olympia Hall in Munich at the 27th october 1979. I was 17 years young. Now I am nearly 62. My sister and I stood before the stage and my beloved Agnetha shook my hand ❤. I don't wash my right hand for 4 weeks😂. Since 1979 the 27th october is a warm day of lovely memories for me every year. When I remember that day I am very thankful for this great day of my life with tears in my eyes. (Also the days of birth of my 2 beloved daughters). In cause of this overwhelmed experience I will not visit the Abba Voyage concert in London. But i wish all Abba-Fans and visitors of this concert a great time with joy and lucky moments in London or Las Vegas. I am glad to read that 13 or 14 year old girls and boys crying in this concert, because they are lucky as I was 45 years ago ! We all love ABBA ! ❤ They are simply the best ! God bless Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Frida. Warm regards and hugs from germany.
This show is as perfect as their music :) You can not tell it's a hologram concert. They look amazingly good on stage, and especially their clothes - everything is like out of this world. I went from Norway to London to see this show and it was beyond worth it! :)
I really had the feeling when I saw them come on stage they were really saying goodbye this time I don’t what it is but there is a real sadness in the joy of this
Well they kind of are. The girls have said that they don't want to tour as they feel people wouldn't want to see an old age ABBA and the boys have said they don't want to do another album. So it would appear that this is it.
I love ABBA but my Australian husband a mega fan. I'm from the UK and we live in Australia. I flew to Uk to see family twice last year. It was first time in four years thanks to covid, My sister and I went in the summer to Voyage and we loved it. When I arrived with my husband in UK for Christmas last year I took him to see it. He was blown away as he felt like he was seeing them live. Its amazing show. I wasn't sure I'd enjoy second time around but I enjoyed it just as much as the first time.
Saw the concert with my best friend and my mum and I sobbed when Chiquitita played, my mum use to sing it to me as a child whenever I was upset and having both her and my best friend there it was nothing I’d ever felt before! If you haven’t gone to the concert yet please make a point of going to it it was absolutely amazing already planning to go again 😊
The best is: these concerts can be done over and over again, even with a better and way more realistic rendering. It's not a voyage... it's a new beginning.
They should never close this show. They could fill it over and over again for decades. I’m going to watch it again, it is a surreal and amazing experience. 50 year old misery guts that I am and I was blubbing at multiple points.
I have loved ABBA since way back- somewhere around when I was 7 or 8- and in 2023, I finally got to fulfill a lifelong dream I thought would never happen. Seeing ABBA live had me in tears, especially hearing songs I’ve grown up loving and singing along to. It was unreal.
The power they have with their beautiful voices is indescribable, when they pronounce the phrases of their beautiful songs, with so much emotion, it is inevitable to accompany them, in their feelings, and to let themselves go. I hope you enjoy every moment of your lives to the fullest....❤❤❤❤❤❤
They're not holograms, they're 2D digital representations on a very large screen. Holograms were discussed early in development but Abba went for this but the lighting gives the images depth.
Me too, I was bowled over, ABBA are my all time favourites. I went with my wonderful sister who was poorly at the time and it was so great for both of us. I was crying when we left, what a mess I was in! I am so happy that ABBA have done this, it is so beautiful and emotional and joyful.
If they ever release a DVD of Voyage, it will break so many sales records that other concert promoters will ponder whether or not they should start releasing concert DVDs of their own.
I came all the way from Brazil just to see this amazing high tec show and it was every penny worth it. Me and my wife loved it. Now I'm back in Brazil with such a dearie memories of that show and seeing this video is making me emotional 😢
myself and my wife went in the last month. Initially the music was as to be expected superb, the effects outstanding There was a tiny initial feeling if Stepford Wives when we tried to quickly get used to the holograms, this almost instantly changed as the music and impact progressed. An absolute pleasure and excellent experience from the amazing ABBA🎉
They should be able to. Even more so, some time in the future. There's a massive sphere shaped amphitheater being built in Las Vegas and it can seat thousands of people and you're surrounded with screens. Any company would be able to display whatever they can in dazzling details
It'll be coming. It's mind blowing though it's based in the UK because you can't beat the atmosphere provided by a British audience.... And the audience area very much part of the show here.
From 1973’s (Ring Ring) to 1981’s (The Visitors) That was ABBA at its finest! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 But now, 40 years later, ABBA IS BACK!!!!! 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 With a brand new album: (Voyage) with 10 brand new songs, and a revolutionary digital concert, (Now playing to ABBA fans young and old) to make them look like their 1977 counterparts, with visual effects by Industrial Light and Magic, (The company behind Star Wars, Harry Potter and Back to the Future) This will be ABBA at its OUTSTANDING “VISUAL” GLORY!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 And when I first saw it, I was like: DAMN…! This looks visually stunning! I can hardly wait for that!
@@geddgillespie5452 I'm in the US and I don't have that type of capability yet, thank you for your kind words, I hope to achieve my dreams and see them too. ABBA means a great deal to me.
🟥Brilliant. Abba is one of those bands that you never want to end. 🟥What destructive critics almost all. 🟥Go and do it yourselves and see how it turns out. 🟥 It takes little to reach perfection. 🟥Produces chills, for when every person can be replaced with an Avatar.
I really hope at some point they’ll release an album with the instruments used in the live performances in this concert. I like the ones used in this sample, in particular. Really enhances the song, in my opinion.
I‘ been a live sound engineer for over 30 years, so I‘ve seen hundreds of show and as a visitor I always get bored after a very short time, because I know, how it all works and saw it way too often….until I saw this, I was blown away from the first to the last minute.
For all the sceptics, don't knock it until you've seen it. I've been twice with my wife and would go again. It's a fantastic production and if you can just let go of the "it's not really them" notion for 90 minutes I guarantee you will enjoy it. Online videos do not do it justice !!
The production was amazing! Massive congratulations and thank you to the team behind it. We had a great time - NEXT we need production of Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Freddie mercury/Queen.... this type of show will have a great future and reach more audiences who never got the chance to see artists before they passed away 🤍 🕊️
They took a big chance with this, even building a special arena. So many skeptics too. In the end, they are taking a huge step into the future. What a great success. I mean, it could have ended up as bad as the Cats movie.
Trash like Karaoke Singing. How about this version instead: Here is a real version of ABBA doing the same song S.O.S on Dick Clark: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KXTS47c6IUI.html(ABBA - S.O.S. 1975)
WOW!!!! I seriously thought that was some seriously great restored footage put to a big screen that they kept hidden by lighting. My Lord it looks like we stepped back in time.
I can imagine future ABBA concerts, no more digital images of the band but instead, actual robots will be the performers. They will look and sound identical to the four members of ABBA, and no one can tell the difference.
