Feel so lucky to live just an hour away from the ABBA arena. Where ever you are in the world, believe me, the journey will be worth it. It's incredible.
Exactly it's deception. You said it. I am not going to pay for fake, deceptive CGI, recording while actual artists are somewhere chilling and collecting money.

I hear you. I'm already planning my 3rd time, gotta book tickets to London first though. Unfortunately my second time there was a shut down of all volume like 2/3rds into the set and had to wait like 5 minutes for the them to resume the show. Anyone else experience this lately?
Think it'll be a while before they did Vegas if at all, Their biggest fan bases were always around Europe, some of the far East and Australia and some of South America. USA ranks 92 in their top 100 fan base so I can't see why they would take it to Vegas. I was surprised at London being the choice in the 1st place seeing as it's a bit of an outpost on the edge of Europe but glad they did as I've got to see it twice so far 😀. And it still sells out pretty much every night...
Recently it has been announced that Resorts World in Vegas won the bidding to showcase ABBA Voyage . I am assuming and hoping they have the show up and running in 2025 ! @@joegoodman9232
I seen Voyage three times in London and loved it. Since the '90's with the release of ABBA Gold, their music used in movie soundtracks, Broadway musical MAMMA MIA ! and then two movies of the same plus a 3rd to be made Abba's popularity has increased in North America and Vegas is an international destination for many. @@desalley
But you’re not viewing “a projection”. I understand you feel it’s expensive and I’m sorry you can’t justify the experience - but stop spewing negativity in a vain attempt to convince yourself ‘it wouldn’t have been worth it anyway’. I’m a video editor and was cynical about going, I work with technology and was convinced the experience would feel hollow for me - it didn’t it. It genuinely is an immersive experience, some very clever technology and a grateful, celebratory and uplifting audience - it was close to religious experience for me and I’m not ashamed to say, as a 42 year old man, I cried. Perhaps you shouldn’t go… I genuinely think the experience would be lost on you and besides, you’d probably bring the energy down and make people feel self-conscious if you were sat there miserable with your arms folded.
As cynical as I am (work as a video editor and with a lot of technology) I was able to suspend my disbelief and by the end of the show, grown man in his 40s… I was sobbing and crying and ‘thanking’ ABBA as I cheered, as if they were really there! It was one of the most memorable and best nights of my life and that is just not the type of person I am to even say that about anything… It honestly takes a lot for me to get excited about anything. I must say though - the one ingredient you must include is someone GOOD to go with. That might not even be your partner or family - be picky and selective about going with someone who is FUN. I was lucky and asked an old friend that I knew liked ABBA and is a happy person with good energy. We were sitting in the seats, swaying, laughing, singing along… but I could see the rare few that felt a bit self-conscious or even sad that they were stuck sat next to someone who wasn’t fun. The majority of people were upbeat and enjoying it (and I would pick seated over the chaotic dance-floor again if I were to go a second time…) but like I say, the rare few looked a bit sad that they couldn’t just let loose and be as unashamed and feel free like we felt… because they were sat next to a boring spouse, etc. So pick someone worthy of the experience to go with - it makes all the difference.
Theres a whole lotta Abba going on in London. Abba are making a fortune ,with Mama Mia the West End Show, Mama Mia The Party at The 02 arena and this Abba Voyage in Stratford.....

They are teasing us with a 50th Anniversary gift: The NEW concert playlist!! Possibly the announcement of the new venue sites, and they will get the original Playlist!!
Having seen the show twice, once seated and once in the dance section, comments after their Eurovision appearance with snippet from Voyage, no, it wasn’t creepy.. I was looking at the real group in front of me standing directly in front of them on stage in the dance section, I’d swear I was looking at the real group. Do yourself a favour, go see it if u haven’t already, it’s amazing..
If you have not gone yet, GO! It is AꓭBA-solutely the most amazing thing I experienced. The love and admiration I have for these four marvelous humans is immeasurable 💙
@@victorlozano9088 en Londres en mayo del año pasado y en febrero de este año. Es la única ciudad donde está el show. Dicen los rumores que lo llevarán a Las Vegas!
Yet another WOW moment from ABBA. The Abbatar upgrades now truly occupy uncanny valley, although...do they still look like ABBA? Or did our memories more effectively fill in the gaps with the original, "simpler" versions? Fascinating.
Occupying uncanny valley is not a good thing, and is why they should have avoided using those images in promo. The suited up versions are the weakest of all incarnations in the show, and should be only sighted momentarily, not given a whole spot.
When will we have official videos of the show? My husband and I are from Brazil. Unfortunately, we are unable to go to London and experience the Arena Voyage. :( This is a dream that for both of us is impossible to come true. My husband and I are huge fans of the ABBA Group.
It's not a projection screen but rather digital images on giant LCD screens. However it is all very carefully manipulated so that, especially for the life-sized ABBA on center stage, you can not see the screen and the lighting on the LCD image is a continuation from the real lights in the hall and perfectly synced. So you have trouble seeing where the screen ends and the real hall begins. The effect is immersive and also the effect is of solid performers "on stage" in front of you. That's why so many people say it looks so real.
Their clothing has definitely improved, people had really bad taste in clothes and hairstyles in the '70s. How did they not know how they looked huh? You can find pics of Johnny Carson wearing a bright yellow plaid suit jacket, that's how bad things were.
